Daniel I just loved this as I am a big, big fan of Bison. Almost came out the chair when that one almost came over the shut, good thing Marissa said no no. Give Dusty some time as he is in the learning process but one day he will be a champ at this because it's in his heart to do so. So proud of him for what has done so far. nmdispatchlady OMG! I worked the sale barn in highschool, gathering from pens and loading trailers. There were some Angus that would come in from AZ. They're free range their whole life and were psycho gangsters. Every trailer, every time! A few brangus crosses came through that were always huge and looking for a fight.

Wild critters, a 1260 pound bull, and a 660 pound cow, what could go wrong? Appreciate the stress level, way past mine. Glad you were there to help. I guess working as a cop helps. You deal with situations most people don't have to. Still, you don't have to deal with bison every day. Imagine a herd farther than the eye can see. They were hunted almost to extinguition. The first time I watched on Arm's Family Homestead that's when the bison got out. I think it was about three months ago that I started to watch. But I've been watching four from Oklahoma my order brother lives in Oklahoma City.

Mercy. I used to work vet shack. 1000 head a day. Meanwhile on the farm our Brahma bull jumped out the TOP..of our cattle trailer. It "did" have a roof. Thanks for the memories!

This is such a great thing they are doing. A few years ago, a disease broke out among the bison in one of the parks, and spread to farmers nearby, so they need to be inoculated.

You could try making his daily feed run through the chute to get him used to it when he is calmer. All animals get stired up when working them. If that doesn't work get the vet out and give him a sedative. You could also alter the entry gate so it can be narrowed down to chute width. Once he can't turn around the only way then is forward.
