Hey Darrell, thanks for taking the time to talk with me when I was a struggling teen. Your honesty wasn't just encouraging, you showed me a reason to hang on even when the feelings seem to contradict what I know is the truth. It's helped me over the years of this challenging life and I have also been able to pass along encouragement to others I've met also fighting the good fight. It's been a long time since the tent across from Calvary Chapel 1978 but I've never forgotten your encouraging words. Thank you

Same here, bro. The Lord Jesus saved me in 77 at that tent. And so many great Saturday night concerts. And people like Darrell would do a lot of ministry between songs. Like you said, helped me through the years to be grounded. Keep on looking up, He's never late. Praise the Lord keep on.

Oh I definitely remember, sis! So many of us saved out of the party scene. Now we needed somewhere to go on Friday nights. First it was the concerts, and later the Bible study groups. Darrel Mansfield is so gifted by God on that harmonica if there is a better harp player on the planet - I've not seen him.

he is not the best on the planet, he might be the best Christian harp player and his singing is totally great. I have been playing the harmonica for over 50 years and have the CDs of all the top living and dead harmonica player and there are many that are way better. In the mid-90 I meet him at a Calvary Chapel in NJ we talked for a long time. He admitted that he doesn't tongue block while playing which gives you a fuller sound and more expression. His singing is powerful and one of my favorite singers. He has some great CDs with Kaiser one called "trimmed and burnin" the other "slow burn." Yes, the main thing is he give glory to God.

I first saw Darrell, at PLNC in 1982 with a few friends.. lost track of those friends over the years.. we reunited in Temecula to see Darrell again in 2010, The music and message are still awesome.. Thanks Darrell, for the great memories, fun and message.

Darrell Mansfield's soulful voice and harmonica have amazed and inspired audiences worldwide for over 30 years. A gifted musician and songwriter, Darrell has released more than 30 albums.
