Boogity is the thing I hate most about Darrell Waltrip. He could be mildly annoying as an announcer (which was a character he created, to be fair), but I hated it every single time I heard. It got to the point where we’d mute the start so we didn’t have to hear it. Darrell Waltrip was a great driver. But this is the stupidest thing he ever did.

Now, this is gonna sound like self promotion apologies in advanced, but when I do it over on my channel I say "let's go racing everybody!" Sometimes I say boys just because, well, I've heard it like that since Cars, and when I became a fan in 2017, but if we ever do get a female in the sport "Let's go racing everybody" is more gender inclusive and less awkward than "boys......and Danica!"

I love NASCAR on NBC as much as the next person, but DW and Larry Mac are the reason why I love FOX's broadcast. I really hate that DW is retiring, but I just wanna say to you (a former driver and current broadcaster, and my second favorite driver of all time behind Dale Sr) thank you. You were my favorite nascar commentary guy and you were one hell of a wheelman. One thing I like most about you is you have the most wins at and won 7 straight at Bristol (my favorite track in NASCAR history). I'll keep watching till I'm dead, but it won't feel the same without hearing "BOOGITY BOOGITY BOOGITY, LET'S GO RACING BOYS!!!" every time the green flag waves at the beginning of each FOX race.

Was my uncles Kenneth Sharp’s saying that I can remember him saying as he built each of his cars, after almost dying when his car went over the 3rd turn on a dirt track, in Kentucky, … and it was one of his cars that Crybaby, drove in the fall of 1974, that broke the track record, that boosted Darrell into the NASCAR RACING CIRCUIT, … I was home on leave, and had no fear when I was behind the wheel, … but did not want to upset my uncle’s apple cart, … so I went & spent some time with my pretty cousin, … whose name I will not mention, as to maintain her privacy, … I left, as I had to get back to my unit in a West Berlin, … and I got back a day late as it was, but gad been under military control, during the trip from Chicago O’Hare airport, back when they still had a military side there, … my other cousin Leroy Gilbert, drove a motor home that Darrell, bought for my uncle so he could follow him around the country as Darrell raced, … and it is my understanding, that the NASCAR group had a moment of silence when my Uncle Ken, passed on, … he loved the sport, even though he almost died as the car he wrecked caught fire after going over the 3rd turn curve, … he built me a mini bike when my younger brother Jeff, had gotten rheumatic fever and s-ent almost 6 months in the hospitals in Chicago, where they pumped him full with penicillin, every 1/2 hour on the half hour, for three days, … and after he was allowed to come home, he took penicillin pills at home, along with digitalis pills, for a couple of years, that I remember, … I was able to ride all over Owensboro on that mini bike, and it only took a quarter to fill it up, … these days were in the early 60’s, … and I was about 10, or 11 years old, in 1965, and I was also into building the plastic models you could get from collecting ice cream wrappers, … yes, those were the days, when life was truly a great time to be alive, … I was 20 years old, in 1974, turning 21 in West Berlin, and seeing Ike, & Tina Turner, perform in West Berlin, … on my birthday, …
