That's a really good technique, and honestly if you do some kind of "depressed" country music I suggest you had that to your songs because it really makes them way more "alive". Also works really good if you write some kind of chill/relax EDM or synthwave, this is not only guitar related ^^

What to do if i will never get good at guitar?
@Zigzipy
@Zigzipy 4 жыл бұрын
Just keep practicing and maybe get a teacher. My teacher is great, he helped me learn much faster. Other than that surround yourself with encouraging people. If you want to and you're willing to work hard, you can get good at guitar.

@@Zigzipy ok, i am practicing a lot, btw, what to do if i think i had enough of music theory? Because idk how to explain my teacher that scales and a bit of knowladge between steps is enough for rock?
@sohamsengupta6470
@sohamsengupta6470 4 жыл бұрын
@@ekhsupreme57 It kinda isn't, you can always benefit from more theory. Sure, instinct and ear is important, but the more theory you know the more you'll understand why music does what it does

J C keep at it! This is a little advanced, but you’ll get there with some chord practice and a little bit of picking practice!
@J__C__
@J__C__ 4 жыл бұрын
@@vivlund oh I've made progress already. I already know 3 chords and the beginning of 1 scale, the first position of E minor pentatonic, so I've been working on those, trying to build some muscle memory and work on getting my fingers in the right place every time. Next is extending the scale and learning the patterns for the other overlapping positions. I'm really trying to understand the theory behind it and not just remember the patterns so I can actually use it and not just repeat it over and over. For now, I can do that stuff without any reference material so I'm learning something. Been working on accurately picking strings for the intended note, fretting the right string every time without accidentally muting others, and strumming the right strings on those chords. Not having an organized lesson plan to follow just yet doesn't seem to be holding me back at all or causing any issues. I still need to get on justinguitar and see what he's got soon.
@J__C__
@J__C__ 4 жыл бұрын
Watching this again after learning the beginning of the Em penta scale makes it seem much more attainable. I may, have to try this soon. 😁
