Filipinos have a variety of admixtures in the genes and DNA so it's really difficult even for us Filipinos to tell what another Filipino is a mixture of. But a common and accepted perception is that Chinese (or Sino type) admixture is prominent among the population. Almost everyone in the burbs nowadays likes to look Chinese, Japanese or even Korean because of the popularity of actors and celebrities from those countries. Also, it is the most feasible look an Asian can arrive at, trying to look Caucasian isn't possible without extensive surgeries not to mention astronomically expensive. Darren Criss is naturally born with that Caucasian skin from his Irish dad though.

My mom is 75% Spanish and 25% filipino. My father is so mixed though (grandad: portuguese/Chinese, grandmom: spanish/filipino). I'm born in the Philippines but i'm more caucasian looking. Abroad i'd happily prank filipinos, and saw their jaw dropped when i start talking tagalog lol!
