I was a opiate addict from 2009-21 and relate so much to Darren’s story. Always a little different, started with pills, moved up to heroin, coke, and around 2015/2016, the real dope started to disappear and it went to all fentanyl. That shit gives no euphoria, just a straight cut out the lights, then wake up sick and do it again cuz it’s the most violent withdrawal ever. That story he tells about nodding out in the car was my life until my son was born. Service is so key to this recovery business, love u Darren

This was powerful! He’s an example of not looking like what you’ve been through. Just a reminder of how we can make assumptions about ppl good and bad instead of getting to know them. So glad he has overcome such an unimaginable situation. Praying continued blessing and recovery for him going forward. He should be extremely proud.
