Fitting an Auto Vent to Halls Popular 86 Greenhouse

Just a quick video for anyone else fitting an Auto Vent to a Halls Popular 86 Greenhouse. Not intended to be a perfect example but it might help you figure it out, be sure to read the instructions yourself and be careful around glass!

Worth letting the cylinder rod get cold first so that you can fit the grub screws in. The brackets on the frame are pretty fiddly, so put something on the floor so that you can find the screws that you keep dropping.😂 But good video as I struggled to follow the printed instructions. Whereas the instructions for the greenhouse assembly are good.

So once installed, in order to set the opener do you have to wait for a day where the weather is hot enough, and the greenhouse to actually be at the temp you want it to open at? This is the bit of the instructions I’ve struggled to understand after fitting my. As it says once the cylinder is at the desired temp to set opening. The instructions in terms of setting it aren’t that clear and a little confusing if you’ve never used one. Unless it’s just me

Yes you need to do it at the desired temperature

How has this performed with our recent hot weather?

It's been opening and closing so it coped fine with the warm weather, I haven't actually calibrated it yet though, I need to use a thermometer to check and adjust.
