Installing a Palram Automatic Opener for Window Louver

A few weeks ago, Palram sent me a replacement automatic opener for my window louver. This time, they included the correct installation plate and instructions. I had to ditch the bottom mounting plate screw and overlap the plate on the top, right-hand corner about 1/4" so I could connect the arm between the opener and the louver. I'm not sure if that is an engineering issue or just a variation in how I installed the louver in the first place. Either way, I made it work and am looking forward to seeing it in action. It should help lower the temp in the greenhouse on the hotter days.

I wonder if you could heat it with a hair dryer and see it open.

FrugalPrepper Great idea... I bet it would work. I may plug in the portable heater and put it right next to it to see what happens.

@@ohhowhappygardener Depending on the manufacturer, they often have a 'MAX' temperature, going over that would not be advisable. Our louver opener's Maximum is 50°C or 122°F ... (I found this out, of course, after I held it in front of the heater, LOL!)
