Wow, unbelievable for an El-Cheapo multimeter. It's currently going for $14.99 US with a coupon. Awesome set of probes that come with it, and a case. At that price it's a nice little meter, and if you accidentally drop it or blow it up it's not a big deal. :-) Love the reviews!
@KeepOnTesting2 жыл бұрын
So true Pete..at that price even if you're left with just the test leads you're still ahead of the game 😃👍Cheers my friend!
@jonfreeman96822 жыл бұрын
I tried to buy it from the affiliate link and they're out. Guess when it's a good deal it sells out fast. But you can't beat the price. What's so amazing is it has so many functions but there's practically nothing inside. You look at the tear downs for Flukes and Brymen you see so many components bulging everywhere and the Brymen even have double sided components on both sides of the PCB. The PBC on this is bare bones so is small and lightweight and ultimate in portability.

Very impressive and a must have cheap-o multimeter for the price of 20 USD. Gold plated, sharp and pointy, lengthy and thick pair of test leads are bonus in the package - every cheap meter should be bundled with those. Mr. Meister looks familiar .....

This shows a good distinction between low priced and cheap. This is a really nice meter for the money. This is excellent for an entry level meter. I still consider the HT118A the king but this isn't too far behind.

Great review yet again! I purchased an Infurider clamp meter to see what it was like. Leads were complete opposite to your here, I got standard cheapo test leads, but a proper temperature probe. Seems like the YK-36K is reasonable implementation, super clean inside, you could replace that glass fuse with an HRC type for improvement.
@KeepOnTesting2 жыл бұрын
Great point 👉 add a ceramic fuse and you've got a great multimeter that does just about everything for the price of a couple big macs. 👍 Even the case is a bonus at this price.

Nice device. Many meters at this price don’t use a real shunt and a proper receptacle for the transistor. The leads are an upgrade for sure. Weird name, are these still around? Looks like the blue DM6013L you reviewed more recently. Thanks for the enthusiasm!

Hello Sir, which of the cheap-o multimeters under 30$-35$ you have tested would be the one(s) that you think have the most powerful (and useful) NCV function? Could it be used to locate electrical wiring behind house walls? What do you think about Uni-t models, in particular UT123, UT33D or UT136D (a bit old but still interesting I think) in this regard? Ah, I'm impressed by your reviews. Thank you very much!

I have been using this DMM for two years. The accuracy is fine, the screen is easy to read and the price is low. I think it is a good DMM👍 However, it beeps loudly and the probe that comes with it has a sharp tip that pricks my hands. That is a drawback👎
@KeepOnTesting11 ай бұрын
Definitely a decent multimeter given the price point. 👌 It's also built like a tank.
@yambo592 жыл бұрын
A paradox, tons of basic functionality a great continuity tester and better than average accuracy for only twenty bucks, but alas absolutely zero input protection. However long as you keep that in mind you could do far worse for twenty bucks.
@KeepOnTesting2 жыл бұрын
Yessir...I won't say zero..because it does boast a 500mA fuse on the low current side and a (albeit tiny) PTC on the voltage circuit combined with a healthy sized current shunt (unfused). Still all things considered a pretty sweet deal for 20$ and one of the rare few that could basically do just about everything required for electronics / home electrical for a basement price. Plus those test leads are an incredibly sweet addition and better than many multimeters costing much more. 😀👍
@blahorgaslisk77632 жыл бұрын
My father would have blown that up in a minute. He never got the hang of handling a DVM and always found new and inventive ways of destroying them. I never let him use my fluke...
