It’s nice to see your new video available! Being cheap doesn’t mean being useless. By saying cheap, sometimes I saw $3 multimeter on sale on TEMU(I’m not affiliated to them, just curious about the performance of these meters) which has voltage, current, resistance, diodes and other functions sometimes. I’m always wondering how accurate they are. Maybe you could do a review on the cheapest multimeter that you can find on the internet? That would be interesting.
@KeepOnTesting Жыл бұрын
Hi there my friend! I'll be grabbing some dmms off TEMU shortly for review! I was looking them over last month..stay tubed! As for the cheapest multimeter out there..YES and yes! I'm hoping to do such a review soon! 😃

These el cheapo meters work fine for most home repairs and basic electronics. Because they're all solid state electronics they are surprisingly accurate and can give Fluke a run for its money.
@csabamagyar324413 күн бұрын
Yes, cheap. But very handy and pretty precise for its price. I have one and I lke to use it -- even beside my much more professional multimeters. Which are not faster by the way but even slower. So I think it doesn't suck for its price, but it is a good choice for its price. And besides: a lot of musc-much more expensive multimeters don't have backlight -- why do you expect this cheapo to have it?
@KeepOnTesting13 күн бұрын
@csabamagyar3244 Thx for the feedback. I think it's a relatively simple engineering decision to employ a backlight, cheap or not so I'm always looking for it. It's not a bad dmm by any means.. 👍

A-Ha! @3:50 you revealed the short lead conversion feature that is automatically activated when high voltage is done testing. Now you have those smaller leads you wanted! For NCV, I think you are supposed to press the button away from the wires and then move the device up to the wire to detect the voltage. I think you pushed the button while against the wires then when you pulled away it started beeping. So NCV works in reverse! Negative NCV? Space invaders or Mattel football? The shape and size reminds me of the Stanley TLM100 Fat Max Laser measuring device I have, which is not a POS like the product you tested, even though the people who named the device "Fat Max" skipped the sensitivity training class.
@KeepOnTesting Жыл бұрын
Hey Paul, Mattel football.. wow, talk about memories! I tried everything with regards to the NCV and it worked best as demonstrated but it did well either way.. You're right I got those tiny test leads after all! Hehe 👍

The external chassis looks suspiciously like the Aneng SZ02. Edit: I found that the M113 was recently listed so they likely used the same chassis as SZ02, I wonder if Aneng is cutting too many corners for this one for being half the price of an SZ02
@KeepOnTesting Жыл бұрын
Agreed! Lots of corner cutting by Aneng on this meter. I'm sure they pulled the NCV antenna out of the SZ02 input jack too! 🙄
@Alxasaurus Жыл бұрын
@@KeepOnTesting My god that might explain the extremely close proximity required to trigger the NCV beeps. Its range is even shorter than my 681/683 (that is saying something). I bought an SZ02 for someone and holy cow, its NCV range is pretty long. You have no idea how much I was laughing when seeing the M113 NCV antenna being nothing but an input jack likely from the SZ02 no less!

OK, I order it for 3,5$ including shipping from Aliexpress. Is it so bad to just have something on the bank to test if in one point of the circuit I have 12V or 5V or 3 or whatever? I think is ok. Of course if you do work with 220V electrical stuffs, maybe not the best solution... or do you have any good alternative for less than 5$ shipping included? P.S.: Yes, I shortly checked the list but of course a device that costs 10x this one is much better... 😅

Sure did my friend! I'm disappointed with Aneng as late. For every decent dmm they manage to ship, they put out at least 4 pieces of utter garbage. 😅

I bought aneng an302 pocket multimeter, which is packed with features and cheap, but has absolutely dirt cheap case (and probes, buy it is normal in pocket meters). Bad design. They should put an302 internals in the case of this m113. Why this, its like nice on photos but no features, even the continuity so slooow, because of "smart" trends.. Thanks for review.
