Darrieus rotor

The video examines the physical principles of operation of the Darrieus rotor, the most common and efficient type of vertical-axis windmill. An experiment is being made with a model of such a rotor. And although the aerodynamic quality of its blades is low, and it spins up to a speed ratio of 1:1, nevertheless, some interesting effects can be observed with it.

I enjoyed this video, but I thought you would explain why the rotation speed exceeded the wind speed. I would suggest adding more information here or at least links.

Firstly, thank you for the content. I really enjoy these mini-physics classes. Regarding the question raised at the end, I imagine that the rotation speed will be limited, among other things such as the materials and the design itself, by the centrifugal force contrary to the movement, and I imagine that the friction of the rotor structure with the air particles will also have something to do with it.
