One thing i love about Sanatan Dharma is exactly this. That it allows this kind of various ways of life. Each human has their choice to live & decide what they want to do. & Bharat has multiple choices. That’s wonderful. Its not some one guy proclaiming that im the only one & you have to believe or else you cannot survive. That is just anti-life. & life is all about diversity. Based on conditions around things come & go.

*What a great podcast. I am a advaitian or atleast trying to be one. But I agree with almost every point of Kushal here except some like "Neti neti doesn't prove anything" or "nirgun bramhan can be anything" or such but I loved insight given by him. Trying understanding "Bramhan" is like trying to know what is inside a black hole. U don't knoe can't know until u experience it or scientifically prove it. But that doesn't mean no one can know or know one knows.* I am in mode of forming my conscious identity cuz accidentally formed identity have put me in lots of unknown troubles. I hope one day I could be as confident and learned about my own Identity and beliefs that I can debate with anyone to defend my position.

Hey guys! I just want to share some thoughts that I had after listening to this entire podcast. We are all well aware that there is a massive indic renaissance that's goes going on in the country right now and I'm quite stoked to see it evolve and gain traction in the mainstream. But it's misconstrued by the leftist/Marxists as a fascist movement, which it clearly isn't. I won't deny that some of the actions of the BJP, which has fortunately or unfortunately become the vanguard of this movement, delegitimises this endeavour but it is much bigger than that. I think what the current generation, who are taking part in this indic renaissance, could do is they can chart out the entire landscape as far as the Indic philosophy is concerned. We often see our peers casually dismiss the Hindu identity and essence we all have by saying it's just superstition and bullshit. If we can bring back all the Indic philosophy in a manner which would be appealing to the "Cool Bros" we might actually prevent them from leaving the Hindu fold and becoming Marxist/secularists. We should create a community, where we can share roadmaps so that people can easily explore everything that the Hindu thought has to offer. For example, if I want to know about Indic take on feminism, to counter western thought. I just don't know where to look, which author to check or which sutras have spoken about this. Eventually, this leads us to lose the argument to western thought, which sort of entire demolishes the Indian family structure. We have ample evidence that we see in urban cities, where hookup culture and all other shit that has been imported in the garb of modernity. We need to safeguard our culture. I think that's the way to save ourselves from western perversion.

Yeah you can look at many bhakti movement and their sects for talking on Feminism. For example akka mahadevi, mirabai, laleshwari, 15th century Ramayana written from a woman's perspective, lingayats, vir Saiva, nath sampradaya In the end bro I just want to say, I don't read my recommendation, I want to but the task of reading primary source is very tedious and much more boring. It's only the ultra serious (when it comes to this thing) can only do the job. We can try best as we can.
@vishalsingh-yj8bk
@vishalsingh-yj8bk 2 жыл бұрын
@@aditya-rt4zb thanks for the relevant works that you mentioned. Bro the idea is to create a well known repository of Indic Knowledge. You must have come across several books that gives you an introduction to western philosophy, with wide variety of treatment. If you want to read about a topic, like say feminism, people would point you to a no. Of celebrated authors. Western philosophy is studied every after year with academic rigor. Do we even have all of these practices that I mentioned?. You cant even Google shit and if you try, you would get books written by some bloody leftist JNU Prof. What if we have a website that is like this big directory which would direct you to the right books on different topics, like if you wanna read about history, pick up rc Majumdar. If you wanna know about Marxism in India, read sita ram Goel. Shit like that would go a long way in arming and building our very own intellectual class that would replace the current elite class.

Loved to read that U really care and I am glad many people do care about Renaissance happening in right and safe way. My aim is to be successful and rich so that I could start my own research on our philosophies by my own money but not only in academic way but in a practical way where society will gain success along with me so that I can be able to help our society at the same time with working for reviving the philosophies. Can u share ur thoughts about what do u think is proper solutions to safeguard our culture without getting carried away doing it. I think we need unity more than anything else. We already have Bramhastra that is our vast ancient and new indic knowledge about everything which is not less than a greatest weapon in universe. We need to help eachother out to support eachother achieving our personal and indic goals. I feel very bad and anxious when I see my hindu friends justifying violence and they have intrinsic support for violence in many forms. For example if u did a mistake they will grab bunch of people to beat up one guy. This is very bad mentality. We need to manage our society in better and peaceful way so that we can freely debate about our society and philosophies in safe space without being worried about our mortality.

Sorry kushal but you are wrong here 1:02:33 Jainism neither claim nor prove Earth to be flat. Its a misunderstanding of annals where a celestial super structure referred to as ‘Jambudvipa’ has been equated to be same as our earth. According to Sramana(Jaina) scriptures, It is not our earth but the Madhya lok(Middle world) which is flat like that of a disc. It is again a very big misconception to equate our tiny earth with that of the entire Madhya lok and claim it to be flat. And i am a jain who has attended pathashala (The ancient ashram education for an year) where i wasnt at all taught that earth is flat but its the madhya lok, which is one of the three realms to be believed to exist in the universe.

Just please be open to this perspective that these scriptures are like maps but the legend/key purposely was not shared within them. For that there was and continues to exists a separate process to receive that legend/key. Not that there is no way to benefit from them without this but the essence/unity among all of these darshans wont but as clear. Wish there was a way to reach out to you guys privately.

@ 1:21:34 Prakhar bhai one sincere request. No disrespect for Kushal but he is not very versed in understanding Decoloniality and colonization as a concept. If you want to understand these two concepts in fair depth, and also their affect on Indian psyche, kindly invite author/lawyer J Sai Deepak. He has already written a bestseller on the topic. Why i m saying Kushal's knowledge on these topics shallow? because he is dismissing Decoloniality as Latin American concept. But the truth is that in India we were talking about it from the first day of our independence. We may not be using the sophisticated word like Decoloniality but when we tell someone "Tu angrez ki aulad hai", its a colloquial way of saying your mind is colonized.

They begin with a non-left pov where everyone needs to be venerated as some sort of saviour and they create this blind belief based saviour complex. The problem with such systems is the very monopolistic, singular nature of thought which usually leads to many errors. Facts can't be obtained from singular thoughts, research and theorems come from originality and plurality. But, the monotheistic philosophy of the pre-industrial mind of Indians has reached a stage where the thought process of a Hindu and a Muslim is not very divergent.

Sankhya as a philosophy it is dualist in terms of Prakrit and purusha and the unity of these two is yoga or let’s say elevating your consciousness to different levels by various means and it depends on the practitioner which means does he chooses too, whereas Advait Vedanta is a non dualist because they believe that everything is consciousness which we can say as everything is a manifestation of a same quanta. So here dualism does not work

The secret behind understanding Sanatan as a whole, in terms of all of these darshans, is that they are written/thought out by the lens that the founders had. As mentioned, a darshan is a "drishti kon" or a perspective, with which a person or group sees or thinks of themselves and the world around them. Some can see up to a certain point, because of various reasons. Others might be able to see a bit further, and a few might be able to take their drishti all the way to the essence. Now, who is right, or who has seen the farthest/deepest? The only tangible way to find out is sadhana. How do we do that sadhana? Well, based the drishti that you have at the moment, you do certain sadhanas that allow you to further/deepen your drishti. Ultimately, the goal of everything is to "become one" with Bhagwan, and to clarify, it doesn't mean we get absorbed or whatever into Bhagwan, but we can be of one mind (whatever Bhagwan wishes, we're there for it at all times). To take it even further, I believe that the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan is the farthest/deepest darshan out there. All of existence and all activities can be summarized into the following statements: the goal is to become like Akshar/Brahman and forever worship Purushottam, and I am like Akshar/Brahman, the servant of Purushottam.

57:50 yes, Buddhism has also mentioned varna vyavastha but it is not rigidly and dogmatically applied as in Hinduism. And also Buddhism in many cases has contradictory rejecting views on Varna vyavastha and to some extent even Brahmin Kshatriya bashing has been done. The thing that Buddhism is more easily accept in the West is because of the negligible quantity of clergical dogmatic dominance on the Varna vyavastha issue as compare to Hinduism and is not because of the the existence or non existence of varna vyavastha in Buddhism.

I also say let live, but also agree with debating and letting the greater thought prevail (and reform, etc.) However, such concepts that transcend time and space are very easy to get wrong interpretations of, especially when we are looking at everything and anything on our own. It is said that to be able to sift through all the material out there in the world takes lifetimes, let alone finding the essence of it all. Take the example of "neti neti," and it may seem clear that nobody knows what they're talking about when discussing/discovering Bhagwan/Ishwar. However, it clearly points to the idea that, even if we were to take all of our minds combined over an infinite time period, we will not be able to describe Bhagwan to the fullest. In fact, not even Bhagwan himself can describe his own glory. Thus, the only description that comes to mind is, "neti neti" or "he's not this, he's not that." My point being, we like to think that we as Hindus are leagues beyond everyone else, and that's true to a certain extent, but we're just as lost as 99% of individuals out there. The only head start we have, is that Bhagwan has been personal with us (through avatars, etc.) Albeit, everyone is Bhagwan's children, but those that seek him more, unlocks more of him. We're all on the same boat, but some of us are near the bow of the boat, some in the middle, and some near the stern. Just my thoughts.

Stratification is common in any society. Modern stratas are economy oriented(Upper class, middle class, lower class), while ancient indian stratas were designed to be occupation based(Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras). But Slowly it took a dangerous turn into birth based caste system.. Do you see a poor person eating with a CEO on a regular basis? No right. Similar thing happened between castes. Not an issue until highlighted and labelled that it is oppression by an external force. That created a divide, which inturn makes people to hold their identity closer to them. Everyone knows that politicians are using the same divide for their vote Banks. Doubt : Why brahmins take the brunt of the casteism always? Why not kshatriyas and vaishyas? (Could it be because they were easy targets in terms of backlash and holding onto ancient wisdom?)

Yoga is union. It is union of human consciousness with cosmic/divine consciousness. This union is achieved through the body, which acts as a tantra ( instrument). Godhood or divine consciousness cannot be achieved without the body's role in it, hence yog is embodied, it is not an abstract philosophy to be understood through the intellect. ie the philosophy of yoga is not a priori but a posteriori. Hence a lot of yogic philosophy makes no sense when read or analyzed from the mind/intellect. When and only when the 'experience' of the brahman has been achieved, philosophy flows out of it, top-down.
