My favorite Sith Lord. Would like to see him in a movie and have his story fleshed out from beginning to end. He is beyond the dark side…..the dark side of the force isn’t malevolent and self-serving enough for him. A Sith Lord that drains planets and every living thing on it as a force “snack”. He is a poltergeist with a cloak and mask. The lightsaber isn’t even necessary…..his superpower is being a walking and insatiable black hole.

@@maclemaster5966 He is from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II that was on original XBOX and PC (1 and 2 were both great incredible games). I don’t know if he is part of canon. The game introduced Revan, Darth Sion, Darth Nihilus, and Kreia. We don’t even know if there is even any flesh behind the mask and underneath his robes. He isn’t dead but he isn’t alive either. He is just a hateful, cruel, painful, and empty gaping wound in the force with an insatiable hunger to consume force energy. He can drain an entire planet of force energy. Consuming force energy soothes his pain temporarily but just like an addict, the more he consumes, the more pain he feels. He is like the “dark, dark, dark, side” of the force. He hates all forms of life and would consume the force energy of other Sith just as quickly as he would anyone else.

The mystery of the dark side or 'mysteries of the sith' is possibly the most fascinating sub-plot in the history of fiction and this ambient Darth Nihilus theme perfectly feeds into my inquisitiveness on the subject. It's amazing to think the Skywalker story we all know and love from the big screen is but a drop in an ocean of Star Wars lore which merely scratches the surface of sith esotericism. By far my favourite moment from the Star Wars movies is the scene in Episode 3 where Palpatine reveals to Anakin the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise. I actually prefer the _prequel_ trilogy as a whole because the premise and whole time period is basically set during the reemergence of a dormant sith order which was presumed long extinct. We get to witness first-hand the cold and calculative intelligence of the sith who we see as experts at operating beneath the surface, using stealth and cunning to manipulate a desired outcome. By the end of the trilogy, the jedi are undermined and outplayed at every level and left looking weak and inept. In other words, the sith catch the jedi with their pants down BIG TIME. I was disappointed the more recent sequel trilogy didn't delve more into this subject. I kept waiting for the moment to come and it seemed there was an opportunity with the Snoke character, but they wastefully decided to kill him off, for no apparent reason.

He represents the void in its corrupted form. A place no true sith would dare go for it was pointless. Why rule over DUST. To a Sith most refuse to go that far hence are chained again by them selfs. Theres only 2 other beings in the universe of starwars that = Nilius in power and fear and thats. The great Sith emperor and Ableoth.

Darth Nihilus was a Human male who reigned as a Dark Lord of the Sith during the era of strife following the Jedi Civil War. Before becoming a Sith Lord, he lost everything during the Galactic Republic's war against the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. He survived the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator superweapon during the war's final battle at the planet of Malachor V, which surrounded the planet with a destructive spatial phenomenon known as a mass shadow. Experiencing the shadow that obliterated almost everything on and around the planet made Nihilus crave Force energy.

this is how scary this sith is. hes not even a true Sith. This thing is not even man by the time he becomes a Revan was power he was the leader of the force. But in Nihlius you would see the end of the force to this giant gaping hole getting larger and larger you more you looked into its eyes. Imagine whining the lottery. And you had a choice. Give up all the money and surrender that lottery ticket. OR,, take the lottery and know you will be destroyed by it. The impossible choice. to live in power but suffer greatly or to give it up and live more happily. Most people crave power but after awhile the Tension and weight of that power gets harder to bear to the point the most wealthy Earners in the world have very stressful jobs. Anyways back to star wars. Imagine Nihilius given three choices. To DIE and go to the force. To Live and try to conquer the force. OR to Surrender the force and live. A planet full of Jedi were given this choice after Revan used the mass shadow generator. A super weapon of the age. All choose death or were unable to accept the responsibility. ONE gave up and surrendered the force to live. And one succeed in conquering the FORCE to the maximum winning infinite power but eternal suffering. Nihilus and the Jedi exile were born. 2 of the last survivors of the mass shadow generator. Nihilus once master his new condition became unrivaled. NO one no matter who you think of would beat this force user. That includes all eras and all other super beings of Starwars. Nihilus became what even GODS fear. Endless hunger. The only one who could defeat him was a being who cut them self's off completely to the force. Someone who just Refused to use the force. That was Mitra surik She wanted to live and not die or suffer anymore. THis ability is something no one would DARE choose willingly. However... it was the only ability to defeat her opposite. The black hole of the force it self Darth NIhilus. When you use force drain on a being with NO force you get a feedback loop and you Suck your own force. The being craved force and Mitra was the perfect candidate after all she was using great force ability in front of him. Sooo delicious soo hungry. HE lunged at her with his ability and she turned it off. And he hit nothing. Its a great story of a insanely powerful being. No force user could beat this guy and average people would just become mind slaves to him. She was the galaxy only hope. She was not impressive or powerful. She was a average Jedi master with jedi master ability's. +the ability to turn it all off on her self. People mock NIhilus and say he was not that powerful but they forget the power of hunger. They don't realize that was his ability. Nihilus was just some average force user. He had average ability's. He was no greater then some regular sith inquisitor. But when he unleashed his force drain. Force users and planets alike were tasty meals easily devoured. AS the craving grew. Understand hungry your self and you slowly realize how horrible and satisfying that must be.

Powerful is a matter of perspective. Nihilus was a walking wound in the Force. He had access to power unimaginable even to the most legendary masters, but it was completely uncontrollable. It controlled him instead and eventually consumed him.
