I mean he confronted Sidious face to face, blasted Coruscant's drones, choked 5 people at random in front of the Emperor and gave zero f*cks about what people thought of him afterwards. asimb0mb Only that the originals were mostly about Luke and the rebels and the prequels were about Anakin not Vader. We haven't had a movie in which Darth Vader at the hight of his power is the protagonist. A story that only follows Vader. We haven't had that yet. Saying episodes 1-6 where Darth Vader movies would be flat out wrong.

He probably would have been in charge of the attack on Hoth. As well they would've had a harder time escaping him and even if he failed, Vader wouldn't have killed him. He respects Tarkin enough and he probably wouldn't have gone with Vader anyways. He would have had his own Star Destroyer that stayed with Hoth while Vader chased down the rebels. And Tarkin would have most likely been put in charge of the Executor instead of Piett and I'm not sure the Rebels would have even won. He would've ensured a second detachment of troops and probably would have positioned a Star Destroyer over the shield generator. It would have changed the Rebel's plan from a griund assault to a hijacking in order to crash the ship or make it fire apun the shield generator. And woth Vader on board that would have been a LOT harder and a more direct assault.

Well it was Tarkin's fault that death star blew up, he was in command, but he was so overconfident that he didn't even take one support crusier for better defences, just one support crusier could change entire battle, but Tarkin tought "Pff, Rebels ? Who cares, they have no chance" so he failed, and even if he survived Palpatine would punish him greatly, Tarkin Propably wouldn't be Grand Moff or even Moff anymore, or Palpy could torture him

Darth Vader Except in the books the Emperor valued Tarkin greatly. As much as Vader himself. He wouldn't be demoted as the rank was created specifically for him. Tarkin was like an evil Sherlock Holmes but with less impressive unothadox methods. He's ruthless and makes examples of people, makes them disappear. His arrogance on the Death Star was his only failure. It was him who blew up Alderaan. If he had survived most likely he would have rallied the fleet in the event of Vader and Sidious' demise.
