I’ll be honest, the OG mythos Vader is very overrated, and the ridiculous price sellers are asking for it is insane. This is miles beyond, freaking amazing and I can’t wait to have it.

Yea i like the other one but this kinda steps on it to be honest. Its just a super gnarly angry iteration of Vader that hasnt been seen before. Only in the books does this Vader come to life and the artists created it! Exceptional

I get mine tommorrow. I pre-ordered as soon as it was announced. When I saw it I was amazed. Aside from actual movie props, I don’t think there has ever been a better Darth Vader collectible than this in my opinion. The Kucharek brothers absolutely nailed it.

This statue is straight fire. There use of sorce lighting is amazing. That sculpted Cape is so much better than anything you can do with a mix media cape. I'm crazy impressed. The battle damage. Mind Blown.....

This is a work of art. I never wanted a 1/5 piece… until now. Great review, as always, Gem. The only think that I miss on your videos is a comparison segment. For example: putting a 1/4 or 1/3 statue next to this one, so we can realize the size difference. Cheers!

Yea i have both and they are both great. I showed both to my college buddies and girlfriend who all know star wars to an extent. Like they know Vader and Luke skywalker and when they saw this new mythos statue, id have to say that all theyre eyes opened up a bit when presented. It could of been from the size but its definitely an eye opener due to the stance and cape. The original speaks a totally different peom. Its more for a true star wars fan who knows what the "contemplation" really means

I have to exclusive edition with all three head sculpts. I pre ordered this one, and when I seen it on line, I knew this one was going to knock it out of the park. We have not seen a battle damaged vater statue, all of the statues I seen look nice, but are kind of boring. I’m not a fan of the flaming saber. I would have liked a blue light saber as an alternate. It would tell a different story that, vater is in battle and had to use a light saber of a Jedi he killed. I prefer the no helmet look, but I often used the cracked helmet. Sometimes the No helmet look creeps me out. The statue has some size, but it’s not to big. I wish xm studios would make a more compact base. I have an oil painting i finished of vaders castle that I am going to hang over this statue. I might even paint a lava, flaming background to hang behind the statue. If you are on the fence about this piece, buy it you won’t regret it. I have posting on my Instagram with music. Mattblack1581

Premium Format have always kind of a mixed media line ever since the early days. i really like the story that the OG Mythos tells but the cape and the broken helmet really make this version!

Sideshow has a nice little base game. It's not XM level playing, but when they come through with some nice focused details in a compact frame, it hits right. Obviously it also depends on the artists' design, but they don't always choose well.

Got this a few weeks ago and mannnnnn it’s easily the best Vader out there. It’s actually bigger than a few of my sideshow 1:4 scales. I do wish this mythos line was a true 1:4 scale though. Sideshow’s work over the last year has been lights out, especially for the money It does exacerbate the problem with displaying their mythos sidious though. They made the brain dead decision to give him that fabric cloak and it looks so off

Great statue! I was really eyeing this one, but didn't end up getting it. The only thing I don't love about it is that the lightsaber has no light-up feature, but ultimately I just didnt want to burn the money on it and I'm in space saving mode already. It was great to see you unbox it, and I hope you'll keep in the personal collection so we'll be seeing it in the background of other videos.

Hey Gem, I’m noticing a new trend with you. You seem to be getting away from “high end” statues like XM Studios, Prime 1, Queen Studios, etc. in favor of the more mainstream…aka CHEAPER…pieces like Sideshow instead. I’m guessing this is a strategic move and deliberate. You don’t get to 152k subscribers without knowing what you’re doing. You gotta feed the masses I guess, and let’s face it, more people can afford Sideshow than the others.
