Awesome last meal as the Dartmoor Explorer! Just 8 Kronies and a bottle of rum - what a way to see off the channel. great campspot too - still can't believe we can have these places to ourselves in conditions like those. Will our subscriptions just carry over to the new channel - I assume so right if you're just changing the name/ logo.... All the best, Steve

End of an era Carl and you've provided some entertaining videos, well done! You've gone against the trend of trying to lighten your kit by sawing off the end of your toothbrush, it wouldn't surprise me if you had a whole toothbrush and a spare in your rucksack . You've shown that wild camping does not need to fall back on dehydrated food but you can cook gourmet meals in the wild including an epic Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. You've forsaken Dartmoor for foreign climes and struggled through with a dodgy back and a dodgy takeaway. Good luck for the next episode in your journey and try and build up that appetite. Well, I remember when you first decided to call yourself Dartmoor explorer, you have come along way known as this, but the content has stayed resonably the same with great info and content which the quality has improved over the time. Im glad, you have gone out with a big bang IE the meal you cooked was fit for a king, Not sure you had enough tinnies to wash it down with tho lol. Hi Steve, it's very good to hear from you. It's been a while. you are the main reason I got into this, and im thankful because I've made some very good friends, even if we haven't met up in ages. I got my name almost from you and I think most of my subscribers from the early days will probably still think of me as the Dartmoor explorer but im sure it wont be long until my new name will be the norm. Thank you for all You're support Steve and the very kind words. I'm actually really happy that you are the last person to comment and the last person I will reply to as the Dartmoor explorer. I normally camp at belstone or meldon areas,i havent explored dartmoor as much as id like to,but i will be coming to the moor for two nights in September Any recommendations on new places i could try? Hi Pete thanks for watching and the sub. well I would recommend windy post on this video although you do get a few dog walkers around late ish but its a grdat spot and not far to walk from car park. postbridge is a great place to park up and its a further walk than windy post but there is some waterfalls there.
