A bit screwy with that last call. Defender committed to the tackle, made the tackle, stayed on his feet supporting his own weight as well as releasing the ball carrier. Then went for the ball. All was done clean and in a bit of a fast option but he did release the player and pouched the ball before a ruck was formed....

ehhh... I'm following you all the way to the release of the carrier. I've always heard and been told to make a clear release, and although he seems to flick his hand up and off of the carrier for a split second, that's not a clear release. In real time on the field and even slowing it down to 0.25 speed on replay here I'd still say that was the right call.

9:45 - that penalty could have been given the other way for ball carrier not releasing.

Honestly it should have been a penalty for Cal. Ball carrier was clearly not releasing

No bias here but I think cal was ripped off in this game by the ref...

@@robertmallory2335 No because it was the tackler- the tackler has to release before contesting for the ball

the number 5 guy who plays for the green team is from england but his mom is american that is why he stand out of the others

Having played rugby on both English & American teams, the Americans just can't touch other nation's rugby (England, UK, NZ, SA, Italy, France etc.). They play the game just like they play American football, with set plays and 'pods.' Granted, that is present in other nation's rugby, but the rest of the world is used to much more fluid and spontaneous play were you are always keenly aware the ball could come to you at any time (i.e. not set in stone based on a play). That, in my opinion, is why any English team (or other countries listed above) could beat the living daylights out of any American team.

So what's point??... didn't you watch USA win last year's Sevens London series or beating NZ twice in a row this year in Sevens not bad for a bunch of Americans who all started late in Rugby & beat all the teams you listed in sevens with players who played rugby their whole lives!! Puzzles me that America even qualified in the Olympics for sevens with Women's & men's yet their suppose to shit... stop looking down on emerging rugby nations!!

you guys need to get away from rugby union and play rugby league, it's by far the superior sport, far more enjoyable and physically demanding.

Let me guess you're a back? As a lock who plays the far more physical game of union if you take away my rucks I'll hurt you.
@ynotnilknarf398 жыл бұрын
Ben Gore lol, No, I'm a forward and you couldn't even catch me to hurt me you're so slow. You mean you play loose forward, at least you aren't one of the fat guys rolling around hugging each other or looking like a rabbit in the headlights when they get the ball...hahaha.

Union and league are 2 different games. There is no way of determining which is more physically demanding. Now that league have pussied out and banned the shoulder charge you really don't have much of a leg to stand on. Fat front rowers? Because Sam Cassiano is so slim and quick. League scrums are so masculine as well. Honestly, I'm so sick of league fans bashing union but not actually providing anything to back it up except their own biased opinion. I like, watch, and have played both codes. Neither was more physically challenging. The only thing I can say is that league is more fast paced and requires more fitness, but you get more interchanges and are allowed to sub players back onto the field once they have been subbed off - something you can't do in union. So really, it balances out. Try to think impartially next time you comment mate because you're talking some real shit right now and nobody on this thread cares for it
