Andersons 140 is one of the greatest checkouts ive ever seen in the context. Cross 161 is up there but wasnt a match saver.

Gary's 140 was also to save his place in the tournament, as if Michael won the match Gary would have been eliminated. Adding in the fact that Gary went on to win the tournament and it adds up to one of the all-time greats.

I remember at a European Tour this year, when Whitlock played against Schindler, he as 1-5 down, but got back to 4-5. After that, he made two 100+ checkouts, but both of them have included a sector miss, but he still got the bull in the end at both times. At 5-5, Schindler was on 40, so if whitlock could have not take out the 110, Martin would have three match darts. It was simply unbelievable.

I've got to say the video on this is terribly grainy. Was it recorded in 8p or 16p? It's almost unwatchable. I'd give just about anything to even be tied 5-5 with van Barneveld. Whitlock was as close to winning as is possible without actually doing it.
