Thank you so much for the video! I knew my follow-through was too short from watching back at the videos, but I wouldn't have thought to hold my wrist stable. That single piece of advice will be a huge help. I think I did that because I see others' follow throughs end with their wrists pointed down, so I was thinking more about the wrist motion of the follow-through than the arm motion, which I understand now is more important. I'll send you an update in a month or so after working on it so you can see the results!

Just chipped in! Keep up the great work Dave: logical, no nonsense approach to the game. Always trying to incorporate your advice in my throw. My own problem is grip: I know how to hold the dart & it goes well at first before my fingers refuse to stay where I put them! Form of dartitis? I don't know.

Yes it sounds like it to me long road back and you have to forget everything you think is right but it can be done i have now brought back over 10 people. but i do have to say it doesn't for everyone.

Dave, you're describing the throw of Lorraine Winstanley. She doesn't follow through completely either. Her hand decelerates near her release. It's part of the hidden beauty of darts that sometimes the raw desire to improve overcomes technical deficiencies. You know there are tons of examples... Sulovic, Klaasen, and Pipe to name a few. These guys are exceptions to the rule that one must have a "good" technique. They believe in a "winning" technique. It's very likely that Lorraine Winstanley has been properly coached by her husband, Dean Winstanley. Dean's technique is beautiful. I bet Lorraine and he have had good arguments about this topic. Being married to a proper dart player doesn't ensure a technical throw. I couldn't beat Lorraine. Could you?

Hi Eric hope your well mate Loraine is a good level ladies player but im afraid not for me in the top level if you look at the three best female players of all time all there throws are very mechanically orientated Trena Gulliver 10 Times world champion. Anastasia Dasbromislova three times world champion. and of course Deta Hedman The best female player ever and by far has won the most titles. I maintain that logic wins out in the end I have no doubt whatsoever your points are valid but I believe that is now ebbing into the past the future is the likes of fallon Sherrock and Beau Greaves. I rest my case lol. and as for me beating Lorrain ill have a go any day. this was done first thing in the morning for me I work nights and I did it with no warm up just three arrows to get the feel. second three straight in kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2nNnaCtqMaifK8
