Phil was still a down to earth guy at this stage. The best ever player though.. Simple as that. Eric 'Craft Cockney' Bristow (RIP) was the greatest Darts player and character along with Jocky Wilson (RIP). Some other great characters though, like Bobby George and Bob Anderson from the original and best era.

Wait, he used to have a mustache?! I've just started learning darts, so I'm just picking random games to watch, and of course Taylor appears in so many of them, I memorised his face quite soon. But the videos I've watched up until now are much more recent and feature a much older Taylor.

I have something in common with this match and im from N Ireland the design on the shirt taylor is wearing was actually a design i made up from a character from a beatrix potter book and changed the paint brush for a dart. And to prove it was mine a great Guy called lyndsey kirkpatrick made the shirt for me because i was known as mouse when i was playing. Problem was i didnt copy right it

Back when phil taylor was one of the lads. Phil later essentially separated from being one of the lads, and became unique away from them all. This was not first round, very likely the semi finals.
