I grew up in Gadchiroli, home land for lot of tribal folks. Section of our route to school was lined with mahua trees, when the trees were blossoming it used to smell amazing. Many monkeys would be on trees getting high :). I was too young to taste the mahua daru though. Amazing Episode !!

When I was young there used to be having one huge mahua tree beside my home. We used to play beneth of the tree eating fresh mahua flowers a lot. The effect of eating flowers was deep sleep. That taste is still lingering in my mouth after 40 years 😂 but I am jealous of Sarang and Paula as they got the taste of pure mahua 😭😂😘. 🙏🙏🙏

@sarang , I have been an homebrewer for couple of years . Had researched about Mahua wine and the procedure which goes in to its making. You will be surprised that many animal human conflicts are caused by the demand of Mahua flowers . These are available on fringes of forests . Women n men endeavour inside to collect the flowers , where the attact or rather conflict occors . Just as an additional info .

Sarang and Paula very well captured...there are other methods of making(fermenting) also which takes about 30-40days (like in Ayurvedic system), tastes well and smells well. Moha has its nutritional values also like increasing Hb% and for Calcium also...so these flowers are used to make nutritional Laddu also in tribal parts of Vidarbha, Telangana and Chattisgarh. Hats of for your wonderful video 🙏.

मोहाची दारू फार कमाल प्रकार आहे! बस्तर, छत्तीसगढ मध्ये कमाल मोहाची दारू होते. आणि अजून एक नागली आणि तांदळाची एक दारू बनते. ती ताजीच प्यायली जाते... दोन्ही फार भारी लागतात!

I drank hot pehle dhar ki pure mahua daru without nav sagar…It is drank as medicine by many old people ..that day I ate almost 20 boiled eggs along with it…what a first time experience…unforgettable ..I ate thi fruit in childhood when my grandma used to dry outside in our village..my grandma cut the mahua tree because the wild pigs used to destroy the crops…after eating the ripe fruits
