I remember seeing this band in SF in 2011 or something. Fuck that's over 10 years ago. I'm confused as to why this band didn't blow up. This guy is really talented, and their live show had these hilarious interludes between their songs. I'm not so into this genre of music. It's kinda hipster music in my eyes. But I always felt that darwindeez executed on this style perfectly, both in looks and sound. It's got to be exhausting to pump out great music and tour for years and not get the recognition you deserve. I'm interested to know what other people think. I really believe that this band is objectively good enough that it should have been more successful.

You absolutely nailed it man. Up in the clouds kinda blew up here in the UK thanks to a clothing ad but all of his albums have been consistently great yet underrated. I'm gonna go ahead and blame the labels' lack of advertising budget, which is often the case. I'd probably put Mac DeMarco in that category too but Darwin is by far the better entertainer live. Anyone remember Pavement? They were good

Darwin Deez first album became one of my favorites from the first listen and this looks like a nice progression. This is a great music video and I interpret it not as him being a stalker, but looking at others relationships from the outside. "You can't be my girl" about all the girls he might want to be with but are taken.
