I watched both parts. I really love everything that they do. I’m very happy with my Axis pedals. If I was looking however, I’d get these for sure. Well done James. !

Thanks man! Hopefully you'll be able to try the pedal at some point, if not I would say if you can justify it, you wouldn't be disappointed in buying one! What kind of feel do you like? Also the Phantom series pedals should be out soon and will be a more affordable version. Thanks for watching!

Cool pedal dude,I'm always looking for direct drive alternatives from axis and trick pedals and these look pretty solid.

Hi James! Thanks for the informative video! Could you maybe do one for the Phantom pedals also, if you have those? Thank, Gabor

Hey Gabor, I will be receiving the Phantom pedals soon and there will be some detailed videos on those pedals coming with both the direct drive and strap drive options!

@@James-Chapman-Drums Thank you! Looking forward to it! I preordered 2 singles, hopefully they will arrive in august as advertised! :) Needed a solution I am not very happy with the Iron Cobras I have at least not with how you set them up, I chose the Phantoms as upgrades. Preordered the Darwin also, but it will be 1 whole year wait! :(

How do you like the pedals two years later?
@James-Chapman-Drums2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely love them! There’s still nothing out there that compares in my opinion, and they have been flawless in their performance. They are used daily and are just as smooth as when I received them.

James...How do the beaters hit on the drum head. Are they both close to the center or is the slave one way off to the left ?
@@TacoCrisma gotta keep in mind these are made by one dude, it’s not a massive company like Dw or pearl. He can’t order material in bulk or outsource manufacturing the way they do. He likely isn’t making much profit off of these.

It is not "infinitely adjustable" there are finite ends to its adjustment ranges.
@mellowtron2143 жыл бұрын
Infinite is a human construct, there is no such thing as “infinitely” anything, it’s merely an arrangement of auditory tones and phrases that represents a concept of something that is very large in number. In common parlance, such as this video, referring to the “infinite” adjustability of a drum pedal, symbolizes the uncommonly wide variety of options of positioning on every juncture, which has such a large number of different potential positions that to the human mind, this may falsely appear to be infinite. But again, the concept is fallacious in itself, as we have no demonstrable evidence of anything being truly infinite, except the amount of fucks I gave typing out this comment. That well never ends, so drink deep from my horn of plenty.

3:30 - "EVERY pedal in the universe has... [spring]" mmmm, not really, ever hear of Drumnetics? These do look nice, although the markings being black to match pedal color might be hard to see when you're in the seated position? The green anodizing listed on their website looks really cool.
@James-Chapman-Drums3 жыл бұрын
You might be taking that a little too literally there. I was obviously talking about the fact that any pedal lets you adjust spring tension (yes even drumnetics my moving the magnet or the pdp boa by moving the board) while many of the other adjustments on this pedal aren’t offered by others. The markings are easier to see when you aren’t seated, but that’s more down to positioning than colour. Just like many other pedals, they are more of a guide for repeating or replicating the settings rather than telling you where to position things while sat at the kit. Thanks for watching.
