When Mongols took Damascus, their Khan who claimed to be a Muslim had a conversation with some scholars from there. And one of them was Shaykh al Islam Ibn Taymiyya. Ghazan Khan requested him to make a dua for him. Imagine a tyrant of that caliber requesting you to make a dua for him and you are standing right before him! And what did Shaykh il-Islam Ibn Taymiyya do? He made a dua and said right to Khan's face: Oh, Allah, if he is doing jihad for your sake, then grant him success. And if he is doing jihad for this dunya, then do away with him. What a courageous man shaykh il-islam was! And today we should make the same dua for current Syrian leader: Oh, Allah, if he is doing jihad for your sake, then grant him success. And if he is doing it for this dunya, then do away with him as you want. Ameen!

Lessons to be Learned from Syria: 1-Never give up. 2-Do not be fragmented into groups. Unite under a single banner. (HTS is essentially an umbrella organization consisting of many united groups.) 3-Prepare thoroughly. (The last 5 years have seen serious training and preparation.) 4-Do not retreat. Leave the outcome to God. 5-Govern the regions under your control with justice and engage in public service efforts. When these elements come together, the chances of victory increase.

Total delusional analysis... You guys are back on the side of the USA and Israel. I am a supporter of the Axis of Resistance under the leadership of Imam Khamenei and am originally from present-day Afghanistan/old Iran (born into a Sunni family, but I don’t prefer using the terms Sunni or Shia because there are many CIA Sunnis and MI5 Shias). However, I can proudly say I am Sunni if being Sunni means being like Yahya Sinwar and the resilient people of Palestine-Gaza, and I can proudly say I am Shia if being Shia means being like Hassan Nasrallah and the resilient people of Lebanon which both of them sacrificed their invaluable lives and wealth, happiest...everything for the sake of our beloved religion, Islam, and the Ummah, and they stood firmly against the devil-worshipping forces (the West and Zionists). I can also openly say that Assad was a fool who was deceived by the tyrants of the Arab League with fake promises. He proved to be a coward, a dhalem, weak, and yes, under his rule, atrocities were committed. By no means am I worried that he is gone, but the main concern is that despite Assad being what he was, he was still a better option than ISIS (created and funded by the USA, UK, France, Germany, Israel, Turkey), HTS (a rebranded Al-Qaeda created by the same players who created ISIS), and the Kurds (PKK openly backed by Mossad). Now, the country has fallen into the hands of the West, mainly the USA, Israel, and Turkey. In the past four days, Israel has non-stop bombed Syria and destroyed every important part of the country. The axis of resistance has been weakened, and all of this means a weaker Ummah and more oppression. The irony here is that you the so-called Dawah guys are inconsistent in their beliefs. You hardly mention any of the above points and the fact that, after Allah (SWT), if it weren’t for the support and sacrifices of the axis of resistance, there would be zero resistance against Zionists and Western expansion. This is a crystal-clear fact that can be seen when looking at the countries where USA military bases are present without any objections. Anyway, I am confident, like before, that time will once again prove you even more wrong. Those who have taken over Syria are more Zionist and Western than they are Syrian. But if time proves me wrong and they become a power like Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, or Iraq, then I will proudly wish to kiss their hands and even their feet! Let’s see.

Today, all members of the Syrian opposition feel that they are part of this victory, and this feeling is well-deserved. However, each individual must ask themselves: Who achieved this victory? And would it have been possible to reach it without the vision, meticulous planning, precise execution, and great sacrifices of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham and its partners? Many other opposition factions tried various approaches over many years but failed miserably. Therefore, every opposition member should ask: Why didn’t they adopt the strategy of victory? Or why didn’t they join Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham and its partners? At this moment, it is not the time to give lessons or direct criticism. Instead, there must be a review of failed strategies, an effort to correct them, and active participation in the joint operations room and the new government to support them. Criticism should be postponed until everyone has evaluated and rectified their own mistakes first.

The only reason Syria collapsed so quickly was that it was chronically weakened by US sanctions. It's hypocrisy to say the HTS are so scrupulous aa to go against their interests in the name of principle when they're just Al-Nusra rebranded and it's common knowledge that Israel have been funding and supporting Syrian rebels for over a decade. When I think back to the young Palestinian boy who was beheaded by Al-Nusra, it doesn't seem inconsistent for anyone to have been both pro-Assad and pro-Palestine either. So, is the Sunni narrative now that the Syrian rebels got their hands dirty in the past by accepting backing from America, Britain and Israel, but now it's a clean sweep and faith will carry them through? Well good luck. Everyone knows that all the different factions in that region, Alawites, Kurds, Israel, Turkey, rebels, have always had their own objectives and their alliances are/were marriages if convenience. Nothing has changed. Israel and the West played along with the fiction that HTS is fundamentally different from Al-Nusra as an excuse to use them. OK, maybe they pushed and pushed, and took everyone by surprise, but Syria was the weak link in the chain. I highly doubt they'll be allowed, or be able to form a stable Government. The Kurds are already asking Israel for support arguing that it's not in their interests that they have a 'terrorist' state on their border (and I put that in quote marks because I know one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter). Well, maybe you can out-fox everyone, I won't say it's impossible. It didn't pan out in Libya where MI6 were also supporting the rebels, but history doesn't always repeat I suppose. I'll just be very surprised if it happens.

its shame hizb ut tahrir is banned. I like the political analysis of hizb ut tharir. Unfortunately majority of Muslims are not politically astute and cannot dissect geopoiticis very well. I dont know if this is a positive direction or not. This could be positive. or it could be another Libya/sudan situation.

I remember the first Pakistani citizen was a jewish man from Germany who converted to Islam. He was activist. He said that what shocked him about muslims of today of the lack of confidence they had in themselves, he asked what made you lose that belief in yourself because he admired the muslims and everything about them....

I am very very afraid for the future of Syria, we have seen this movie before.... these fanatics are crazy and are not in the tradition of a pluralistic Syria. Not all Syrians want religious law. So the only future the country has, when it has a secular federal constitution with all groups represented in government.
@wewenang51674 күн бұрын
There are multiple Muslims countries where both secular law and Islamic law can be used together. Malaysia, Indonesia, Tunisia and Algeria are few example. They have mixed law and they are peaceful country where non Muslims all have their own right. Assad regime was a secular government...and CLEARLY it didnt work and hated by most of Syrian including non Muslim.
@patrickbuchler6864 күн бұрын
@wewenang5167 it was a brutal dictatorship wich happened to be secular. Secularism was not the cause of the dictatorship. Thats an unfair assessment. Even if Syria would become like Malaysia that would be a succes. Alltough punishments there for having a simple Tiger beer are rediculous. But I am afraid Syria is becoming a dysfunctional state like Iraq and Libya with many little dictators. Plus the Syrian state is loosing land to Turkey and genocidal Israel. Sorry for my sceptical views but like I said before we have seen it before. I hope I am so wrong. I wish the Syrians all the luck for their country

He miss understood, war is not a blessing, Indonesia worlds largest muslim country along with malaysia , these countries embraced islam with out huge blood shed, instead they were impressed and admired by muslim traders of islams golden era , which caused them become muslim nations eventually. Allah doesnt want to force islam on people, Allah send the message and the messenger, us humans must make a sense out of it using our brains . In our Prophets time all wara were fought as defence not offense. Fight is must in times but its not a blessing. Messege will reach and believers will believe.

Read the background of these people who are now in power. If you say you are neutral, neither supporting them, nor against them, then Shame on you. Fear Allah, and oppose them, and oppose their dirty work in Syria. This effort was carried out previously as well around 2012 i believe (have to double check), but they were defeated by Syria, Russia, and Iran. You have to know whats going on, and be wise and be able to come up with the correct conclusion as to which path to choose in a particular situation. Consult the wise, the experts, the friends of Allah, and dont make a decision solely on your own. If for example a soldier has been an Isis member and provided that information of who he was is correct and a fact, then oppose him and forget about having even a little sympathy for him by your tongue, dont even, dont even through a hair from your beard towards him, as to benefit him, even though a hair is not going to benefit him.
