I was not at this show, but I did see them in 2021 @ Foxwoods. True, they do not sound like they did in the late 70’s, 80’s, etc. I have seen them several times over their stellar career & they still sound better than some of the musical acts of today. Their body of music will stand the test of time. If you are a musician and have an opportunity to either talk to them or play with them, you should. IMO they do not get the recognition they deserve regarding their contribution to music. Thank you for the music Daryl & John as Hall & Oates & as solo musicians. Your music is the sound track to my teenage years & 20’s. ❤🎤🎶

These guys have been performing for over “50 YEARS”. They’re both in their mid 70’s and still rocking. Awesome

I know he does not sound like he used to, and I love it. Whenever I hear him sing "time is talking to me "...we all know what he means, and the fact that he is still out there giving his all while also sharing what looks like his last few years of performing with us in this way, just moves me like nothing else can.

Daryl Hall is older and in his 70s and is also getting close to his 80s and his voice is different than it was back then and his voice is okay 👌🏻 and there is absolutely nothing wrong with his voice and how he sings! Daryl Hall and John Oates are both older and is still performing live!

It`s just awful though accepting `shes gone`, some guys never ever get over that and recover! Life is so cruel. This song hits me so hard even after 43 years.

They were one of my first album I got when I was a kid. Lo g long time ago and Jim Croce. Then at 11yrs old I had a poster of Ted Nugent in a leather black jacket with a bare chest and a gun.

Is It a Star! Man, did they EVER do this one live?!
@jgmiller8042 жыл бұрын
Probably way back when war babies was released. After that i doubt it though. I remember daryl saying in an interview they were bringing this one into the set to try to balance out the chestnuts with some non-hits.
@stephenharris2 жыл бұрын
@@jgmiller804 And they have distanced themselves from War Babies over the years. In fact, that say quite openly that they hate Beauty on a Back Street, although there are quite a few tunes I like on that record - probably more so than War Babies!

They need to bring in more good older songs like this and burn "You Make My Dreams" to the ground. Nice to see and hear John playing more audible guitar than usual.
