Das Future Art Lab der mdw

A warm welcome to the Future Art Lab at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna!
This new building opened its doors to mdw students and faculty in autumn 2020 and is exceptional in multiple respects. It’s the new home of Film Academy Vienna, the Piano Department, the Department of Composition, Electroacoustics, and Tonmeister Education, the Joseph Haydn Department’s Chamber Music subdivision, and the Artistic Research Center.
The Future Art Lab was built to ambitious spatial, acoustic, and technical standards, and its ultramodern sound studios, control and editing rooms, concert hall, Sound Theatre, and Arthouse Cinema now provide mdw students with a tailor-made environment for their studies.
