As someone with ADHD, I struggle with complex rules. And in my intensive course, my teacher explained all of this, but all in German, I swear I couldn't even pay attention to what she was saying, al I heard was blablabla. But your clear and very straightforward explanation and visuals make it so easy to understand. Coming to almost every video I watch to say thank you for making these videos. Hallo, ihr zwei von YourGermanTeacher! Mal wieder ein sehr gutes Erklärvideo! Was ich hinzuzufügen hätte, ist, dass alle Verben, die nicht auf der ersten Silbe betont werden, ohne ge- ins Partizip Perfekt gesetzt werden. Das sind natürlich hauptsächlich Verben auf -ieren, aber auch andere. Beispiele: - „prophezeien“ → „prophezeit“ - „posaunen“ → „posaunt“ - „trompeten“ → „trompetet“ - „miauen“ → „miaut“

One is Perfekt and one is Präteritum. But you pretty free to use whichever you want when talking about the past. Therr is no rule like in English.
