After being dragged screaming and kidding to Gods waiting room (Bexhill on Sea) at the age of 17, its great to see the Sussex Downs again from down here in New Zealand. Many times I have driven those same roads on my Mk1 GTI Campaign and then my favourite car of all my Mk2 Sirocco GTX. Don't get me wrong I loved my Mk2 8V GTI too, but the Sirocco was just more fun. Probably because I young and single at the time. Great to see the Sirocco joining in.

Funny you say that, my own parents called Bexhill the place that God forgot! 😂 But the roads and scenery of the south downs are beautiful and easy to take for granted. Although..m I can imagine some of your roads in NZ are even more spectacular! I do have a soft spot for a Scirocco, lower centre of gravity, rarer, just missing the 16v engine, but they do look great and they're more than welcome to attend our events. Thank you for watching. 😀

Ah thank you! You definitely should! Find some picturesque roads, grab a few mates to tag along and enjoy the day out. It gives a real sense of freedom. Are there any decent spots near you that you can think of?

Right in my back yard (Eastbourne) too, on some of my fave roads 😎 At one point I was only a couple of hundred yards away from y'all, and I had no idea ☹ Fairly certain the red G reg (Hella covered main beams) went past me later in the day, coming back over Beachy Head. Great video 👍

Thanks We would yes. You'll have noticed there was a Mk4 1.8t present and also a Mk3 VR6. We're not overly precious, just so long as it's a relatively retro VW we're happy. 😁
