1:07, note to cammer: By you not matching or going a tiny bit slower than the merging driver, you made this driver think twice about merging as it was not clear if you were going to let this driver in or not. I would have done the exact same thing as it’s too late when you overtake and he has no where to go. Don’t blame someone else for them being cautious when they do not want an accident. You had full visibility of the situation right in front of you. The other driver had to merge, watch what you are about to do and drive as well. Be a bit more considerate of other drivers🤔. It’s not hard to share the road, or did your parents not teach you how to share?

By that logic the merging driver also has the option to speed up to make it a safe merge why try to shift the onus on the dashcam driver. The onus should be on the merger to merge safely, which they could of done by using there right foot to accelerate ahead. The mindset that "slowing down" automatically makes a situation safer isnt correct and can create unsafe situations like the one we just witnessed.
@gqwarrior66942 жыл бұрын
Nope. It's the merging driver's problem & that's the end of it. They could have sped up or slowed down. For all you know the dc had a semi up it's clacker so was understandably reluctant to slow down. If you can't deal with that, get the hell off the road.

We had an exercise where we had to reverse through an obstacle course within a certain time during our ambulance driver training. You could only use your side mirrors and being in an F-250 that has the turning circle of a battleship added to the challenge. That sort of manouevre should be mandatory for every new driver. I cringe when I see anybody have to turn and look over their shoulder when reversing (like old mate at the shopping centre scuffle clip).

An idiot enters an intersection that isn't cleared, can't pass through and blocks traffic. Dash cam driver instead of getting upset at said idiot, thinks that looks like a smart and totally not against the road rules move, so decides to copy the idiot and blocks more from another direction. Then of course sends in the video to show us that the other driver is an idiot, while presumably staying completely unaware of his own actions doing the same (though I think a few people send in their own mistakes for us to learn from, most have zero self-awareness).

This car was clearly too large for her to control as she could barely see over the instrument panel and drifted from lane to lane causing many another road user to flee her imminent contact. Luckily I was watching all of this in my rear view mirror as, having seen the amount of panel damage on her bus, I chose to quickly pass. She is a menace and should not possess a licence.
