Thank goodness for the kind people who helped the old man up. I am old and alone and if I hit the deck, I too cannot get up by myself. The dog who was big and strong enough to help me pull myself up if I tripped and fell, died 18 months ago so I understand and appreciate the kindness of others. Animals, though, are more reliable.

@@metarugia3981 Many years ago, when I was 58 and the full time carer of my mother (83, dementia) trying to take her out on a little walk, she collapsed onto the gravel just outside our gate. The bloke who lived next door witnessing everything , about 35 yr old laughed as she fell. I begged him for help as I was not strong enough to lift her by myself. He refused, saying something like, "If she was cactus, it wasn't his problem." I had to scream at the top of my lungs for help as this bloke just watched on until several doors down somebody heard me and came to help. My Leonberger saved me three time when I fell, bracing himself beside me has I grabbed his shoulder and haunch, first to my knees, then atop his back to my feet.

Shock. And for most people, it's also a rare occurrence and they don't practice for it. I'd recommend taking a photo of the other car's plates, and maybe a quick side on to show where it happened, then move. Should take maybe 20-30 seconds, which is a pretty short wait as far as traffic goes.

Both. Yes, as stupid as that sounds, that's how it works. Realistically, they should both have slowly done a sort of dance around each other as if it were a roundabout in the middle. Drive out straight, then turn hard right and circle around each other. Or cut the crap and go straight on instead, and come back around.
