That's what we did with a 18 wheeler tire that came off the overpass and into the lake we were playing in. we washed the tire off, rim and all and was having fun. But then again we were 12 or so then. The trucker came back and actually asked very nicely if he could have the tire back and we pushed it ashore and started rolling it to him. Most fun we had with an accidental cast off

OP said the people that drive on the wrong side of the road in Australia are probably from left-hand drive countries, as in countries with cars that have the wheel on the left-hand side, which makes them left-hand drive. Countries with left-hand drives (LHD) drive on the opposite side of the road.
