If you want to save up for cleaning products, do check out Mr.DIY too. That's where i usually buy my brake cleaner, carb cleaner etc2. Just be sure to go to the bigger branch. Also another top cleaning tip if you want to save up from buying too much chemical based cleaner, just get a steam cleaner & micro fibre cloths. Perfect for any materials. Cleans & disinfect at the same time. That ac control panel looks almost like the one in my A33. Nothing fancy function wise. My dad's 2005 Land Cruiser Prado (imported from Japan) had the same dashboard crack too. He reupholstered it when he had to take out the whole dashboard to install new aircond cooling coil coz it was leaking. You should get it reupholstered first while it's still out of the car imo (ofc do the test fitting first hehe). Shouldn't be a hard/too expensive of a job if you survey around. That wiring loom looks like a nightmare haha. Good luck with that. As for the engine, think you have the right idea with the vacuum leak or even simple thing like sticky/blocked throttle body. Old car might have harden or leaking hoses. also do check the fuel filter as it might have not been changed at all & hindering the fuel flow/pressure from the fuel pump. Best check for any rusts,gunks on the inside of the tank too. If it's misfiring, check the plug coil. I had to replace mine too after swapping the engine. maybe check the cam timing as well as there could be slight valve overlapping/ignition too much advance/retard. And replace the fluids. Disclaimer: I'm not a fully car guy who claims to know everything btw. Just sharing my experiences when I first diagnosed my fairly old car (1995) when i first bought it ;) Try mudah.my site. Find used car parts sellers there, even if they don't have the parts you need listed there, just give them a call & they'll most likely help you to find it through their friends' shops. Never thought I would be really into your car project series as I'm not that car of a kind guy. But it does make me feel like wanting to be one now. Keep the series coming. I don't mind actually watching you clean your dashboard tbh. haha. and I would love to see if Evelyn could make a similarities and differences between both of our cultures say, do Panamanians eat spicy food, what do M'sians do that is odd for Panamanians and vice versa.

you mention the car stalling at 3:00. ive got a nissan stagea that did that until the car is fully warm. ive recently found out it is due to carbon buildup inside the idle compensation device. i hope this information helps someone. i put up with it and the potential dangers of it for years before discovering the reason.

Have you tried clean the throttle body? Sometime they clogged up with dirt, u can try clean it with throttle body spray or gasoline, and other thing like O2 sensor can cause the problem, just my though about what happen on ur car, good luck

The TB is the next thing I'm gonna do. I am gonna do that and also check the o2 sensor as well. Even if it doesnt fix it, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to clean them anyway. Plus, I have a new OEM fuel pump I'm gonna swap in too.

Its wayyyy up there! Hahaha it's got like 500km on it supposedly. I find it hard to believe the body and interior is as clean as it is with that many kms but it has a bunch of maintenance stickers and receipts going back to the 400k mark so its quite possible they are true. Either way, everything is either gonna get refreshed or swapped little by little. I appreciate the kind words!

No real budget to be honest. I want to learn to drift in it but it's not going to be a dedicated drift car. Just an all around fun car to build and track now and then. Otherwise yeah, I think an s15 dash would be a bit of a waste... I do promise, there is a rhyme to my reason here... just have to stay tuned 😁
