I’m 20 years old and I remember my parents burning all their CDs onto an old eMac that I had in my room when I was around 6 years old and listening to Dashboard. At the time I had no idea the concept of emo music or how good this band really was as I played with my legos. But all I know is that ever since then Hands Down has been one of my favorite songs throughout my entire life. Thanks mom and dad for sharing Dashboard with me even when I was too young to relate to the songs.

My first love invited me to their church one time. They had a talent show for the choir members and he sang this with his guitar while looking at me the whole time. I didn’t know that he’s singing this song which really surprised me. Listening to this again makes me remember the way he stared at me and how I melted. I swear I could feel him touching me though we’re 5 ft away from each other. Everybody else in the room had no idea what this song was about and we just laughed about it.
