One thing I did not appreciate at all about this record as a young teen was the drumming...the drummer for this album was phenomenal. Highly energetic, plenty of wild fills, but somehow always completely LOCKED IN to Chris' fragile songs and their changes, without which the tune would completely fall apart. And on the flip of that, without such dynamic, almost jazzy percussion, the nakedly emotional nature of the songs (and so many in a row) might have really dragged after a while...with it, some of the songs become borderline anthems, this being a great example.
