Dashboard URGENT or SERVICE errors reset on a RSV4 Tuono V4 Clearing faults and service code

Do not delete faults if you do not know the source of the fault/trying to fix it, or you could damage your motorbike, I take no responsibility as a result of clearing errors.
If you have service code come up it will indicate one of the below errors:
DSB 01 - Immobilizer fault: key code read but not recognised.
DSB 02 - Immobilizer fault: key code not read (key not present or transponder not working)
DSB 03 - Immobilizer fault: aerial not working (open or short-circuited)

Thanks for doing this. 2010 RSV4. Had an Urgent Service fault and limp mode (6000 revs max) a few years ago. Took it to garage - they said it was fly by wire throttle controller that’s knackered. £300. Just been out tonight and same fault came back. Watched your video this time and cleared the fault immediately. Fly by wire throttle controller I don’t think so! Thanks.

my bike also has that service indicator on dash and has the same issue like your db01 but not active. it's on memo. but i can't reset.

Hi, in diagnosis menu, I pressed 'update' and removed a key (I couldn't exit) and now I've got SERVICE error and red diod is on. There are no fault codes shown. Please advise how can I reset these errors?

Everyone - I fixed the problem: the alert disappeared after removing the battery for a while and short ride(+turning off/on).

Just happens the same thing ! I am quite worry because a removed the batteries and still appears service, going to try the small rise

How in hell do you access the menu? Long press? Short press? Left press? Right press? I've got a 2013 TV4 aprc and I need to calibrate a new tire. Can't get in to the menu 🌞

cvasold just a quick press in, I think if it’s not letting you access the menu maybe the menu switch button is broken?

@@scooch2345 Thanks for the reply. The manual says a long press "directly from the mode command" not sure what that means but I'm leaning towards a malfunctioning mode switch.

It’s been a few years 😁 can pick them up easy enough. Just have to remove headstock plastics to get to the connector

Alex Casavant You have SERVICE on the dash? That can be that it due a service, you can press "RESET COUPON" in menu to reset it, but if you are saying you have an error code and cannot be cleared it could be on the CLF ECU which cannot be cleared with Guzzidiag and needs a dealer PADS cable and software.

You need to insert a user code its 5 digits if I recall, usually its 00000, do you have the code or have got past the code? do you have a menu screen? you may have inserted the menu handlebar switch in the wrong connector.

You may have plugged the connector for the menu in the wrong plug? There are two which are identical.

Follow the wire from the menu switch, it's in front of the headstock. Might be worth posting up on the AF1 aprilia forum with pics so I can help you more.
