Let me add some personal to the "all electric" hype. When I bought a new car in 2011 my neighbour tried to convince me as for "electric is the future". Back then this would have cost me a fortune. He instead threw away his old petrol particle puffer and bought himself in. Even Today I think my low emission unleaded catalytic empowered fuel polluter should not be scrapped right away. One also has to consider every new electric car puts an initial carbon footprint. Or did you think tires got made with zero fossil materials? There are also social this and that to overcome. Each time walking along a line of parked vehicles I look through the windows to make sure no-one could be instantly setting off. As a person been run over by a reversing car I can assure you even a petrol car can be put in rapid motion in less than two seconds with that gear already put in. No chance to avoid if the driver has no delaying in mind but full determination in always being right. I still pro electric not for the future but for now. My car could last me for another year or two. Afterwards electric for sure. Fewer parts, less maintenance.

I had electric car for 5 years now. Never regretted it. They simply outperform fossil cars in most areas.

«Non emission! My @ss..where’s the electric source you get your power from? Do you know for sure that you charge your four-wheeled flashlight with non emission e.power? Or, maybe, just MAYBE it’s imported electricity from coalfired powerplants…

You clearly don't know much about Norway's electricity. We use hydro-electric power. 100% clean and emission free, mixed in with a good portion of wind-power.
