I can tell you from experience that middle aged people are some of the MOST entitled and ignorant drivers on the road. I dont mean to sound harsh but a large majority of claims I handle, there is always a middle aged person who's entitlement got them into an accident. And it's usually due to them expecting other drivers to give up their ROW and accommodate them. Whether that be at merge points, switching lanes, backing out of parking spaces, making blind turns out of a business parking lot, etc. They expect other drivers to stop on a dime and make room. My heart goes out to every eighteen-wheeler driver in these videos. The one where the drunk lady simply turned right, directly into the guy... no warning... stands out as one of the worst ones for the truck driver. No truck driver gets an 'out' on any accident they are in. They get that accident put on their license, as an incident, even if they are 100 percent not at fault. I am frankly kind of shocked at the truck drivers not letting the four wheeled morons in, because the cost to the trucker for any incident is so high. After seeing these videos. i don't blame the truckers who just stay in the right lane going under the speed limit and much slower than any other four-wheeler. As a short truck driver, I never go to a turn intersection in the inside lane. Car and pickup drivers are complete a holes and will drive right into your turn radius if you are on the inside. I had a car merge left, directly into my short truck, about thirty years ago. Really changed up my truck driving and made me make space for truckers on the road every chance I can. The fkg car a hole thought it was funny. It took everything I had to not give him a root canal.

I think you said it right, but that’s actually incorrect on their part. It’s not “their” lane… it’s the government’s lane. Driving is a PRIVILEGE not a right. We don’t own any parts of the road. But so many people seem to think that they have rights to be in certain lanes or intersections. This is why we have to actually behave while driving. I kinda think they switch it once they have their license.
@ItsmeBish5843 күн бұрын
I've never understood people who would rather end up in an accident, than show a little patience, and wait for a lane to be clear before they move over. (like the law says) You dont to bully your way into a lane, or drive down the shoulder and skip a whole line of cars and then expect everyone else to be "courteous" and let you in.
@ItsmeBish5843 күн бұрын
@@bhilgefortI mean our tax dollars do pay for road maintenance. And when we pay to get our license, register our cars, and pay for car insurance. That gives us the right, and the privilege to drive, and be in certain lanes, and intersections. Lol Also, when a vehicle is established in a lane, it makes it that vehicles lane. Sure, they dont "own the lane".. BUT the occupying vehicle has ROW over a vehicle that isnt occupying that lane. Traffic laws were put in place to make driving predictable and safe. When people ignore these laws, they create dangerous situations because they are being unpredictable. So be predictable, not courteous. Drive in a predictable manner, not bully your way thru traffic. It's simple, just follow traffic laws.

10:47 how is that pick up at fault? He's in the second turning lane, he stays in the second turning lane, and the POV truck goes into his lane.

#4: Speed + wet conditions= a video for "Dashcam Lessons".
@kerry33872 күн бұрын
the speed itself was not the problem, it was the following distance

#10 is in Missouri. Independence specifically. I pass by that on ramp everyday. It sucks. I usually stick to the slow lane, but move over when approaching that ramp.

1:54 #5 had two seconds of following distance, was paying attention, and easily avoided the crash. Imagine that!

how is it the pickup drivers fault at 10:52? when its a dual turn lane and you HAD to go into that outside turn lane to even make that turn

Can we talk on 0:59 that he made the traffic light broken

How about the terrible angle that #3 had on their dashcam with the I-pass and me seeing more of their dashboard than in front of them 😂
@spychopath2 күн бұрын
1:34 Dude didn't "luck out" - he was smart enough to pay attention and keep a good gap in front if him so he could see what was going on. Unlike the other drivers in the video.

#37 that sucks because it was the other driver's fault trying to cut in in front of you😢

Exactly, car drivers seem to think that semi drivers can see them and they intentionally hit them. Whatever trucking company he works for is terrible, think he needs to find a job with a company that can think rationally.

I wouldn't even say 50/50. Dashcam driving carelessly.

Driving 30 odd years only had 1 accident where a car tried to undertake me going left, got the truck around corner taking off then trailer went over hit bonnet, just unloaded 10 ibc's full of glue the truck was still full though. Trucks here 24m, 53 tonne.

I’m always amazed when the big trucks can stop in time. It’s so impressive. I was in my car with an 18 wheeler behind me when the driver in front of me stopped abruptly. I went right and the truck went left because either god was watching out for us or the truck driver and I had some sort of hands free Vulcan mind meld. We’ll never know for sure. But I believed he or she saved my life.

Morons in cars that don't realize big trucks can't see or feel them or dipspit truckers that don't know how to zipper and wana hold back a 6 mile traffic jam

#37. And they're absolutely correct. People need to learn to swallow their pride when others are being stupid around them.
@ItsmeBish5843 күн бұрын
And that's exactly what that car should have done, instead of trying to get ahead and cut off a semi.. they should have swallowed their pride, and merged at the back of the line. No reason the trucker should have been in trouble. He was driving and maintained his lane. He followed traffic laws. The car did not. His trucking company probably had him take driving safety classes as a precaution, because I know for a fact insurance did not find him at fault.
