i was in the car when a driver did this and i was like WTF ARE YOU DOING
@davexb65958 жыл бұрын
This happens in Australia all the time. It really pisses me off because it puts me in danger. These drivers merge onto the motorway at almost half the speed of the traffic flow. They have no idea what an on ramp is for. They force everyone behind them trying to merge, down to this dangerously low speed. Often it is the vesicle behind the slow merger that is placed in danger with no way to get out of it. Huge trucks are trying to stay left and I want to stay out of their way while I'm merging.

@@Badartist888 I've noticed that with a lot of the dash cam videos. So many cam car drivers have poor reaction times or just aren't paying enough attention to the road. 1:00 Who would be at fault in this rear ender? I would assume the silver hatch would be at fault for stopping in a through lane on a green light, but I could be wrong.
@MittyLittle8 жыл бұрын
The guy who hit the other person in the rear end is at fault. Basically even if the person in front of you should have gone, you should have left a large enough space to react in time.
@Pabloworldwide8 жыл бұрын
I understand that, but I know that there are certain situations where the person in front can be blamed for causing the accident. This looks like one such scenario. Stopping in an intersection, indicating to go right in a through lane on a green light, surely they'd have to be liable for something?
@MittyLittle8 жыл бұрын
It's an unfortunate circumstance, but still no. Again, just because you expect someone to do something doesn't make it their fault. The guy should have been watching, and stopped if the person in front of them stopped, even if that person should have been going. Pretty simple, really.

@gerble368 жыл бұрын
It's a dual turning lane. Sure, the truck was a little late getting to his lane beforehand, but this seems more like courteous drivers letting a truck in more then anything else. Courteous by " I don't want to get squished" or " I am a nice driver" is the real question. It looks to me that the drivers were letting him in, so he went in rather than forcing his way in.

Been in Australia this year for the first time, and I have to say I was shocked with the way people drive. I really wasn't expect that. Now, here on Balkan you have to be careful and prepared for everything, but people know how to drive, they just don't obey the rules much (:-)). But Down Under it was down to basics of driving. I don't even know how many times i waited behind someone on the mall parking for 2-3 minutes for them to get in or out of the parking space. And I'm not talking about people driving big SUVs but corollas or even yaris. Worth mentioning is that parking spaces are 25-40% wider/bigger than ones we have in Europe. Second thing I noticed was on highway when changing lanes someone will give indicator that will change lane and after 2-3 seconds they would just go. It doesn't mater if someone is in that lane, it's like: I gave you the notice that I'll do it, now it's your problem if I hit you. But the far worst thing was merging on a highways. Cars would literally stop in merging lanes and wait for the cars on the highway to slow down or even stop so they could merge in! Now, I don't want to make this racial/political thing, but yes, 9/10 of people doing those stupid things were Asian. Australia needs to make it's driving schools much stricter, especially for foreign people.
