I love when a good synth gets broken down into standalone components, I was just thinking about how many of Harmor's parts I want them to do this with. That said, while it's got some cool distortions, most of that stuff is additive, so they'd have to mimic it with subtractive in the case of the filter and stuff. Also love it's prism, every synth should have a precise harmonic shifter imo, shifting down the major third harmonic a semitone has given me many more uses for it's resynthesis, for example. Another dream is a key-track capable EQ that has convenient pitch/phase-shifting, anyone happen to know if something out there can do this by itself?
@DashGlitch Жыл бұрын
any wavetable synth that allows you to draw partials is essentially a key-tracked EQ without the phase shift
@Gnurklesquimp2 Жыл бұрын
@@DashGlitch I think I've only ever had ones where I could draw anything present in a saw, and pitch-shifting them would still be ideal since it also allows resynthesized sounds/whole wavetables to be forced into the key, kinda like pitchmap etc. (Making it no longer a single cycle synchronized wave) It's not like I'd usually want my 4th harmonic overtone to be minor, but it's something I sometimes REALLY miss when trying to use wavetables etc. with harmony. Can manually isolate and shift a freq with a precise EQ, which is great since you can do it after the distortion that adds the major third harmonic, but it's pretty workflow killing, especially when playing multiple notes without a key-track EQ.

Shade is really mind blowing. This is filtering on a new level. There is nothing that can compete with it. You don't need the Gatekeeper you can do the same with Shade(MSEG and Gain)
@DashGlitch4 жыл бұрын
Yup true but I wanted to experiment gating before and after the reverb etc 👌 and gatekeeper presets are real good for quick results
