It took me three years to pay off $12,000 for a new air conditioner and roof. Keep plugging along you can do it. I’m a 74 year young caregiver for 12 hours a week. Everything keeps going up. Gotta eat. And things break or need replacing. Couldn’t do what you do. The temperature in the summer is 110 plus in Phoenix. But it’s a dry heat😂😂

I always have google maps ready to go to a nearby location in case I don’t know how to get out of a neighborhood. I switch out of Uber click go on maps and find my way to a familiar Main Street.

WOW! You get way better orders than I ever do on UE. I could never make a decent amount of money doing only UE. Most of the UE orders that are sent to me are upside down. I will have to deny about 5 orders in a row and then occasionally they will send me a good one. I wish UE was better in my area, but it isn’t. Today I received two orders in a row for a restaurant in my area that is pretty popular and not cheap either. Each order had multiple items so their totals were probably easily $50 or more. Both were going over 10 miles and one offer was $3, the second wasn’t much better. It was like $4.50. Additionally, it was raining and crappy out. Of course I didn’t accept either order. They were both kind of insulting. 🤦‍♀️

Me and you both. I was debt free for a few years but life happens. I had to take out a personal loan once inflation hit because my rent shock up and I couldn’t afford it. My LL gave me 60 days to move but all rent was expensive. I was paying $875 a month, the most affordable rent I could find was $1200 a month. My paycheck has stayed the same even with a whole 2% raise. So now I’m driving to move from my current apartment they are raising the rent to $1400 and LL is creepy. I also have to pay off debt. After that my next goal is a house. Plus, I’m trying to get a PT call center job at Wawa in Wawa Pa. On top of gig apps.

My goal was a $5000 emergency fund. Now I’ve got to hustle to start over again. I’m going to get up early homeschool my daughter, cook dinner, do some deliveries, nap , and pick up an extra shift on my other job. I’m going to wait on my hot water heater so I want be completely broke. My husband gets paid Wednesday. That was our extra savings check! Bummer 😢! Hours getting cut and prices going up so fast I can’t stock up. BUT I’m still thankful I can work and we are healthy. The way things going we need a $8000 emergency fund lol 😂. If you can, you should go out around 5:30-6pm, I used to always try and do breakfast or lunch and people just don’t order food as much during breakfast and lunch and 2-5 no one really eats, my favorite “shift” is 6 pm-2 am especially on Friday & Saturday nights

I cannot believe that you can make that on Uber. It’s terrible here. I rarely accept an order because it’s always 10 miles out or more. I never ever get an Uber unless I’m doing a door dash or Instacart and one or two will come every single time.

Can you “turn off” getting orders with alcohol? I had to unassign one because I didn’t see it until after I accepted the order. I don’t want to do those. Also, if you feel unsafe in the area after you have picked up food, what do you do? Congrats on the debt pay down!!!
