I love DD & I highly recommend it, it's the only type of work I can do. We start when we want, stop when we need to, & all at no penalty, & we still make a notch above minimum wage. Imagine telling your boss your stopping 4 hours early today because you are too ill to continue, you'd be fired on the spot if it happened more than once at a minimum wage. I often start & can't continue. I won't get paid, but won't get fired either. Most minimum wage jobs have axe grinding managers, if you stop for more than 15 seconds your fired. We work at our own pace, hustle fast or very slow, your choice. There is no easier low wage job except student work study jobs. We make our own hours, work as much or as little, & no complaints about it from DD. It doesn't pay much above survival, but think of all the jobs across America this app has created.

The more you meet people the more you'll see the truth in this life. This world is too cold and 95% of people literally do not care about others. I'm talking about 0% of sympathy. I'm talking about 0% of cares. Literally 0%. I know 5% of good people are still there and yes, they are still exist. Welcome to the United, literally 95% of people do not care about your feelings. 😅😅😅

I just started dashing to get a new fence for my dogs.. these damn fences are expensive lol. But being new to DoorDash I feel like I might be accepting crappy orders and not even realizing it so I’ve been watching a lot of videos to try and see what others accept. Yesterday DoorDash sent me into the city where some festival was going on..I didn’t realize until I was stuck in the middle of it, wasting a bunch of time and two of the orders didn’t tip at all. Never going near that area again.

I don't ever go for top dasher but I try really hard to keep mine over 50%, i will pause the app and move away from places i dont want to go or give poor offers, only had top dasher once and it was in April. The next month I made less money than I ever made... thinking about going for it and giving it a second chance. Don't think it means much in my area but last Saturday I did terrible because they're doing a promo right now for my city which means all new dashers are top dashers for 2 weeks.

Pretty sure she needs the flexibility.
@hospitalfood6621 Жыл бұрын
A 9-5 doesn’t work for everyone. Some people are in situations where they need more flexibility. And yes, these type jobs can be profitable. No one would do it if it wasn’t profitable. Wear your car out? I put more miles per day chauffeuring my kids around to two different schools, after school activities and driving their friends home then I do now ubering but no one called that wearing my car out. Yes, if your foolish and make poor decisions, it can be a loss. But most people are smart enough to know the difference. Oh yea, she has another job. This is her second job.
@KentRS-th1cu Жыл бұрын
Watch more than one episode before you comment. She is doing exactly what she needs to be doing for her situation.
@DasherStu Жыл бұрын
I average $25 an hour every week. I actually took out a loan for a whole separate car because Doordash has been so profitable. And I've set aside cash for taxes, maintenance,etc. I STILL have about 70% going to my pocket after paying for the car, insurance, gas, taxes, and maintenance. Plus I can write off the car I just bought next year and the miles. As well as all the maintenance done on my vehicle. You should learn about the industry before speaking that of which you don't fully comprehend Jason.
@youtubingwithyou Жыл бұрын
That’s why you need to have a strategy, know your market, and have a business plan, which most of us who do DD and Uber Eats have. I do both of these gigs part-time and put less miles on my vehicle than the average person drives to and from work each day.
@aliae.2502 Жыл бұрын
No reason to be rude to the drive thru operator. You have no idea what their order volume or staff count is. It sucks having to wait that long, but you're likely taking it out on someone who has no control over it.
