Ive got pretty decent sound system with sub woofer and i love the v8 y62 and if you can capture it in left / right im cream. One thing ive notice whilst youre driving is a bit of a drone sound. Its ok for me at home but is it as loud as it sounds on my sound system. Rgs Doof Doof.

I don’t find it to be a problem when towing, but there are quieter systems that’s still sound great if that’s what you want

Hi David/Dash.. you mentioned you were on a 1 inch lift? Is your Y62 paired with 35s or 37s? Who sources your suspension kit?

Side question. Have you done the Simpson in your Y62? I am doing about 650km, from Mt Dare to Birdsville via a combination of the French and WAA lines with a few side trips and I was wondering how much fuel to expect and how much to carry for this type of vehicle. I have a diesel, but have been requested to have some Y62s join me.

Haven’t done the Simpson but OffRoad work on around 30lph in high range and double that for low range

Did the Simpson last year, we did the Waa line, rig road and knolls track then Qaa. Total 601km used 163 litres of fuel, took 4x20 litre Jerry’s and just filled up as I went, great trip.
