Faze is more consistent than optic historically. It’s just based on that, Optic went undefeated last year major 5 and ended up T12, Faze majority of times is at least T3, it’s just based on that, anything can happen but faze is more consistently in making finals than optic

Faze have a history of a dumb online loss but locking in and performing T2+ tournaments on repeat. Optic has a history of finding any way possible to fall short. Sometimes, even far out of T3. It’s that simple

Optic is more inconsistent historically, they can randomly get T8s or T12s like the example that I gave about major 5 last year when they went undefeated and everyone was saying they were the best in the game online and ended up T12 on the major. Faze issue is closing finals, but they’re the most consistent team on making it there at the very least.

Not really. As an OpTic fan, OpTic is usually the only team that mentions something like that. I personally think it's a problem because it always turns into an excuse for OpTic. I would prefer if they didn't mention those things & went into it with no excuses. It just looks better all around.

We need to let the "testing maps" CHEESE go. Its the end of March and the game came out in November, theres no more excuse for testing maps. These maps are in EVERY scrim set, i cannot bare to hear "they've never played it" anymore. If you're faze and lose to LAG its just embarrassing its not "testing maps" if youre optic and you lose to a challengers team its embarrassing, no more cope, no more sugar coating these embarrassing performances on maps that have been in the pool for nearly 6 months

I could genuinely see any of the top 4 teams losing in the first round. Seeing faze slip up against LAG, optic coming out slow in some matches during quals and going game 5 I think 4 times, NYSL also seemed beatable in all 3 game modes, Ultra’s SnD seemed super shaky and if they play faze or optic they probably lose that control game

I think parasite is faded with the “ny testing maps”. The only thing that could’ve been different is karachi hp instead of sub base. Optic is always gonna ban invasion against them and ny is gonna ban skidrow. So the 3 hps they could play are Karachi, sub base, and Rio which optic are fine playing any of them. In snd optic is gonna always ban highrise and ny is gonna ban Rio so Karachi snd is always gonna make it and ny is gonna take term over invasion. In control it doesn’t matter cause optic will slam them on invasion or Karachi.

Grand scheme of things it's an irrelevant online match, but giving them the testing maps excuse is embarrassing. Ultra in stage one is not a 1:1 comparison, ultra lost to Boston because envoy dropped a 0.5 KD had nothing to do with map testing. Sometimes you just gotta accept you lost and move forward, faze doesn't need a dozen excuses they lost to a team with a player dropping a 0.6, that's just an L they gotta hold 🤷‍♂️

I feel like team chemistry (like the LA Thieves in vanguard) is just as important as making your roster the most talented possible but I also know time isn’t on your side in the league so it could be risky to trust the team to improve. I kinda dont agree that subliners let maps get through vs optic. They played rio, but we all assumed ny was probably good at the map, they played terminal snd whoch they are now 3-0 on and optic is like 2-6 on, karachi conteol which both teams were 5-1 on, sub base might be one that they let go through im not sure on their map count on that, and then jarachi snd which was both teams best snd. I just keep hearing people saying ny was testing maps when they picked maps they were also good at. And for the two hps, it works both ways, ny will now veto sub base vs optic but optic will also veto rio. I do think toronto was testing their map pool vs optic however
