DATA: Arizona's low, but improving graduation rates

Arizona has one of the lowest four-year high school graduation rates in the country. Data from the 2021-22 school year compiled by the federal government reports a graduation rate of 77%. It’s the lowest of any state reporting data and only above Washington D.C.’s 76%. In prior years, New Mexico has had a lower rate, but the state did not report in the 2021-22 school year. The rate reported by Arizona is ten points lower than the overall US four-year grad rate.
