I got this track on a promotional cassette around 1980, other songs I remember from the same tape was the Swedish band Strasse's "Crash Slowly" and Fun Boy Three's "The Lunatics". Wish I could find that tape, never mind don't have player. Data stood out as the best band, I went on to buy "Opera Electronica", found out many years later that it was the same mastermind behind much beloved 70's band Sailor. Thanks again for the great music and for sharing.

I taped this track around 1980 off MW radio (Radio Luxembourg or John Peel) and despite seaching the internet with the lyrics for sometime (years back) never found out who it was. I'm so glad this has been made available, I found it via a lyrics search FINALLY!! Brillaint stuff, raw synths no messing still sounds fantastic. Thanks for uploading!! Does anyone know whether this stuff is available to buy on CD or download? :)

I remember this got a lot of airplay on Capital at the time. Not sure if the BBC banned it altogether or just not in the daytime due to its 'adult' content, but whatever they did, it robbed it of the opportunity of being the huge hit it should've been. It's such a stark reminder of how the cold war felt at that time - Reagan just elected and pre Gorbachev. I was 14 and it was a real worry to anyone slightly plugged into what was going on. We came very close to nuclear war in 1983, we now know.

How amazing were the girl's looks. There's so much reference to Nazi's in this style. I don't think we realized it at the time. Works perfect for this song.
