Thanks for the tip on the time channel - very helpful. It's great to find a resource on the BMW HP Datalogging. It's powerful but not well known. You can line the two laps up quickly by switching focus and clicking the magnifying glass once on each, they will then zero to the gps start line.

Thanks Alex but I can't get the two laps to line up exactly using your suggestion. It seems similar to using the 'synchonise' command, which lines them up from the start of the session, but not the laps I'm trying to compare with each other. Am I missing something? Please can you outline the procedure more clearly for me. Cheers.

@@MikeSpikeEdwards thinking about it - it probably doesn't work for the way you are zoomed in and you don't have the GPS startline on the far left...

I think it probably lines up from the start of the session; but it means if you're gaining or loosing time each lap - if you're then looking at, say lap 6, it's no longer in alignment.

Great video, a couple of questions. Are you using Race Studio 3 to do your analysis? Do you look at the data after every session?, it sounds like you do. I'm just starting out on this data journey and have an Aim Solo and are limited to GPS data telling me the concequences of my inputs , no brake pressure, throttle data etc at the moment.

Hi Ian, I have no experience of the Aim product but understand its very good, however I think it lacks the detail that the2D system offers. They say the Devil is in the detail and the deeper I go down the 'rabit hole' of data the more I'm finding out. Yes I do look at the data session by session but at this stage I'm still learning how to understand what its telling me then the tough bit is to find out what I need to change to move forward. Really enjoying doing it as I think you never stop learning.
