sir doubt in Q:-3 451/586 = approx. 450/590 = approx. 15/18... sir is it true? please clear doubts..

it is not closer since you have decreased the numerator and increased the denominator. This opposite change has made the actual value more different from approximated value. The answer would be close when you either increase both or decrease both. If you decrease both by '1', you will get 450/585 = 10/13 10:13
