Hi Derek. Thanks for making excellent videos in helping us understand the misconceptions and also listing things that needs to be verified before making statements about the insights. Really appreciate it.

Keep up the good work! These are some of the most informative videos I have come across on data analysis. I love the translational approach you take when describing these topics.

Hi Derek. I'm currently a high school math teaching prob/stats. I've enjoyed you videos as I'm self teaching myself R programming. I have a career goal of becoming a data scientist and I'm using your resources as well as "Introduction to Scientific Programming and Simulation using R" by Owen Jones, Robert Maillardet, and Andrew Robinson.

Great work Derek, your lectures are very informative and useful in learning data science. It can be even better if you could also supplement the theory with practical application using R language.

Derek Kane: great video series! Really appreciate your explaining those concepts in such an intuitive and comprehensive manner! One quick note on 45:04 -- Could it be that a beta1 of -0.6 means that a 1% increase in the price of a good would lead to a 0.6% (as opposed to 6%) decrease in demand? Best, J

Hi, I have a question on the Grape model for you use the Add Type (0 or 1) as a numeric factor for the final regression model. But 0 or 1 is not really a numeric/ordinal variable, you could use other numbers to represent it. Even in your final formula you asume 1 in order to multiply for the factor to get a proportional value of sales (!?). Finally the add is the "natural them" then the Addtype = 0 and have 0 contribution for sales? (!!) I would appreciate if you can explain as this is a generic problem when modeling ANOVA with non-numeric variables, Thanks!

+christopher musyoka Please send me a pm and I will get you access to my dropbox account which has the R code and datasets. I will eventually be setting up a Github account but hopefully this will work in the meantime for you. Good luck.

These videos are awesome. But i am wondering how did you get that correlation matrix graph at 1:04:10 ? I know we can get it in numbers but that heat map looks awesome. Which package?

These are really good videos but it is assumed that viewer has fundamental statistical knowledge. Perhaps it is important to explain at the beginning of these video series that these videos are not for beginners.

***** thanks for the feedback Eldar and I'm glad that you are enjoying the content. I am planning on redoing the lectures (expanding topics, including more code, etc...) and most importantly, rerecording all of the audio. I know its a little rough at the moment and thank you for your patience. I wanted to make sure I had something out there in the meantime. Best of luck to you.

It's somewhat difficult to follow these: some concepts like goodness of fit tests should have been covered first.

+Swapnil S Thanks for the feedback and Ill definitely look into rearranging this so it lays out a little easier. I tried to cover some of the core statistical ideas in the 3rd lecture so that they would all flow together nicely. Please feel free to let me know any constructive critiques that you may have so we can make it better for everyone. Thanks for watching.
