This dooms day scenarios I am hearing since 2016, when US debt was 20 T $, now compare exchange rate of $ against INR, in 2016 it was 65, and in 2024 it is 84, so all this rant of dedollarization, one should take it with pinch of salt.

US can keep on increasing debt threshold as long the world use $ as a reserve currency. The moment circulation starts to decline debt for the becomes expensive. Also, who is going to buy their debt now? They have created enmity with China, the second largest who is selling their debt now, only japan and their bunch of vassal have been delaying the process but not for long, their economy are stagnant. Now we have alternative payment system. Alternative financing system by BRICS. More challenges to the dollar circulation. Every great empire thought they wouldn’t fall. But all it needs is one big wrong decision.

@ I agree with you, last year Uncle Sam paid more in interest on their external debt than their defence budget, if you check history, down fall of Roman, ottomans and British empire happened when they start paying more in interest on their debt than their defence budget, so if US continue on same path for next 4 or 5 years, Mr. Shah’s prediction of 1$ will fetch only 3₹ in year 2030 will become reality. If trump implements all recommendations of DOGE to cut wasteful expenditure of government and present balance budget in first year, then it will be totally different ball game.

Govt. already gives clear hint that they will reduce the CAPEX , even after 50% fall defence stocks still trading at 5-6x , rest your wish , atleast i will clear AVOID !!
