Quick question: When you do the joins to populate the Fact table, you use the Dim tables, but also, a table from the data source. I think there is not other way to do it, right? is that a common practice in real life? (to do the joins using tables that belong to one database/schema -staging-, and adding tables to the join, that belong to a different data base/schema -data source-)? This is loading by pure sql. Can you use SSIS and using scd for loading dim tables?

Hi Srishti.. did you mean that DW job did not run for some time? if that's the case.. moment you will start the job -- it will pull records from same date where it ran last time..

@@mrgogate hey mandar,it's more likely,data is coming through pipeline to fact table,if suppose there's no data or some missed data,if we have a condition there it will check is null or not something like that if null it won't load to fact if not it will.
